It is sad that the old St. Mary's hospital, where I was born and where my parents got life saving care, will close. This is a failure of our current leadership to bring our tax dollars home and expand Medicaid. I will confront this urgent issue on Day 1 in the State Senate.
Jamie Ballinger was raised by hardworking folks- her dad was an electrician, and her mom worked at Kmart. In the State Senate, she will work to make sure everyone in Knoxville has a fair shot at a good-paying job.
