If we talking a 3 or higher I’d expect to see some considerable damage to them. I know people will have their opinion I’m just giving mine. I’m open for discussion.

@TinceMcKhan @WrestleTix Ain’t no telling. I’m just happy to see AEW and WWE both doing well. I’d like to see AEW do a PPV in a stadium here in the US. I personally feel like they would do well. If they moved 40K or higher in tickets for a US stadium show I would call it a success.

@YeehawManDVD @WrestleTix This isn’t a knock on AEW…I love the product. But you can’t deny part of the reason it’s doing well ticket wise is because it’s the new company. If AEW travelled to the UK more often I can promise you ticket sales would drop.

@WrestleTix I’m not bashing AEW success in London…I’m genuinely happy for BOTH companies recent success. WWE has turned things around over the last several months. AEW has continued to do well…I think wrestling fans just need to be happy that we have (2) huge companies doing well.

@WrestleTix The comments are laughable w/ people trying to compare AEW and WWE ticket sales using “All In”. Let’s be clear this is AEW UK DEBUT if you run AEW All In here in the US inside any stadium with no real build up they might do 20-30K maybe 45K if they lucky.

I've stayed quiet on this App the last few days because all the AEW / Wembley stuff has been exhausting. So much stuff being posted that's disingenuous, out of context, or feeding an agenda.

Since I'm not on a podcast for now, I might as well as sound off on here.

AEW selling 60K+ tickets for a show is nothing short of amazing. Most successful non-WWE show of this century. Anyone saying otherwise has an agenda. Period. I thought they would do well and as I tweeted before the presale, my prediction was 68K+. I see them hitting that.

But saying WWE chose O2 Arena over Wembley because they couldn't sell out Wembley seems to be pushing an agenda. Yes, they probably couldn't sell out Wembley for their #5 PPV of the year (MITB). But they just showed 8 months ago that they could fill a U.K. stadium with a special show, and Clash did 62K in Cardiff, which has a population of 485K, as opposed to London which has a population of 9M. Clash would have almost surely sold out Wembley. Clearly WWE got a sweet-ass subsidy from the Cardiff government to hold Clash there.

And the point of AEW All In beating any WCW show (other than Collision in Korea), this is also a little disigenuous. The biggest WCW stadium show was a Monday Nitro that wasn't pushed at all until Goldberg vs. Hogan was announced days before the event. Until that match announced, it was just a regular Monday Nitro. And comparing ticket sales from back then is way different than now. You didn't have tens of thousands of people getting emailed pre-sale codes, etc. Back then, getting pre-sale tickets meant you had to go to the arena. The success of the Monday Night Wars came so sudden that during the boom period of 1997-2000, neither WWE nor WCW ran any major PPVs at a stadium. They could have, I'm not sure why it didn't happen - maybe a lack of confidence from business just a few years earlier - but it didn't happen.

So anyways, a huge fucking cheers to AEW for what they've been able to do with All In 2023. A huge fucking cheers to WWE for drawing 62K+ fans to Cardiff for Clash. And a huge fucking cheers to WCW for drawing 41K+ fans for a TV taping. And a huge fucking cheers to anyone that managed to read all of this 🤪

@DrainBamager If you were comparing Nitro and Dynamite…then ok. You’re comparing Monday Nitro to a PPV!?!? Not only that I highly doubt they could do 30K let alone 40K for a Dynamite show in the US.
