@GibChronicle This is the basic salary and doesn’t include the benefits/perks for working in the public sector i.e. Pensions, Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave and generous workings (summer hours) etc.
This is so on point by Albert Freyone ... "low ambition, low impact, and a standard that quietly signalled what we are prepared to accept".. brilliant!
@GibChronicle I’m not against development to attract investment, but it’s getting to the point where we’re more concerned with short-term profit over our long-term future. With the Schengen Treaty a lot of the younger generations will look to live in Spain
@MichaelAArouet lol - telling others to get a “real” job or start a business whilst defending those inheriting their wealth and doing bugger all for it
@anthonyboutall What is unacceptable is that you think you have a say in the matter. Gibraltarian’s voted to remain in the EU and we have our right to determine our own future not you
@NileGardiner You’re purposely misleading or are just ignorant. Firstly, the negotiations were lead by the Gibraltar Government. Secondly, the Conservative Governments were part of the majority of the negotiations with the EU. Thirdly, the Conservatives caused this mess
@GBCNewsroom The demolition works have been going on for nearly 2 years and now technical services are concerned about the structural integrity… really?
@PepeLeMico@tonyevans88@LabradorMBE There is an element of symbolism but also trust. As was shown several days ago with the unilateral suspension of the interim measures at the border by a “rogue” official, would Spanish officials likewise go beyond any limits imposed by a Schengen Agreement?
@GBCNewsroom Rephrase - Spanish governments don’t like others cherry picking negotiations or agreements. He should be reminded how the previous Spanish government cherry-picked the Cordoba agreement
