@SenRonJohnson I have Hashimoto's disease and it developed after the 2 covid vaccines and the booster. My immune system is overactive. My tpo and tg antibodies are too high :( A coworker developed MS after the vaccines too. Not sure if related or coincidence.
A teacher earning $60,000 pays Social Security taxes on every dollar she earns.
A worker earning $184,500 does, too.
But someone earning $1 million pays the tax on just the first $184,500. Nothing more.
Yes, the country’s billionaires pay into Social Security as if they make $184,500.
That doesn’t make sense.
So I have a bill to eliminate this arbitrary cap on Social Security taxes.
If those with the highest incomes just paid the same share as everyone else, we could inject around $3 TRILLION into the program over the next 10 years.
I'm fighting hard to protect Social Security.
@koreatimescokr Artificial intelligence(AI) generated content is putting actors/actresses out of work. Many short clips/films combine 2 famous people's looks, voice, mannerisms, talent, etc. They aren't compensated. Maybe they should give a tax to an actors guild for that content

@SenRandPaul@SenKatieBritt@SenMikeLee Republicans like little or no tax on the rich. So services aren't paid for. We're a 1st world country who doesn't take care of its elderly, disabled, children, and vulnerable. Ultra wealthy can avoid tax so things aren't paid for. Also defense contracts/war drained billions.
@RosieM00re@HawleyMO I work for USPS. We don't get properly compensated for Amazon&UPS. We lose money on those contracts. The private companies have us deliver for them because they save money. Mass marketing mail doesn't make profit, not really. I get amazon everyday at usps, about 600-900 pckgs.
@jdunwell Rob Sand as an auditor did more than his job. He cared, did something about it, and had results. He's not like other politicians who make empty promises and don't improve things truly. @jdunwell
@jdunwell@RobSandIA I made some points to counter this @jdunwell 's claims. The put a spin on things that aren't good. I hope people see putting a shine on something or wording it nice doesn't mean it's good.
@jdunwell Lastly "right to work" sounds like a good phrase, but you guys are trying to keep people from being in unions. Unions help protect worker right's/safety. A living wage is because of unions.
@jdunwell As for able bodied people on medicaid. You forget there's people with disabilities, mental illness, difficulty finding jobs or holding them because of medical issues or being elderly. Some things aren't as grey/white. Also poor paying jobs are numerous while good paying rare
