Look what’s been built in Cardiff for swifts. My niece sent me these photos and said the structure was alive with birds. Heartening to see. It’s shaped like a swift in flight I think. Other towns have created similar swift nest sites including Exeter. Thank you for caring.
Or you can just redevelop all the brownfield sites which already exist and are just sitting there doing nothing. It's possible in pretty much every town/city in this country to go into them, and find large, empty, disused, abandoned buildings. Which just sit there, year after year degrading, no use to anyone. If these buildings were developed and turned into affordable housing, that would go a long way to solving the housing crisis.
These places are already in the areas which require the most housing, and they are surrounded by infrastructure.
But that won't happen. No.
Instead, the countryside and green spaces have to be destroyed, and new cities have to be built, with all the huge expense that entails, and usually without any infrastructure to make it all work.
A Turkish company has destroyed 500-year-old woodland in Yorkshire to build holiday homes without planning permission.
Why do we allow our land to fall into foreign hands?
🟥 Ok, let me be frank...
This 'Meet The Press' interview with Trump is the most UNHINGED (and scariest) interview ever, with any world leader, let alone the President of the United States.
AND ... he abruptly stormed off before the interview ended, like a petulant toddler! 👶🏼
AND he detests strong women that don’t allow him to spin his psychotic narratives, unchallenged.
Listen, anyone who still supports this guy and thinks he is still fit to be the President of the USA ... well ... they are either being disingenuous, or they themselves are also not playing with a full deck... 🧏🏻♂️
Out on a walk and another example of why Britain is a laughing stock ,someone obviously can’t be bothered to go to the tip or put rubbish in the bin so they dump it in the canal absolute lazy, entitled ,disgusting tramps
Quantock Staghounds screaming and cracking whips as they ride at a stag to prevent him escaping onto National Trust land. This stag had just been through a 3.5 hour ordeal, chased relentlessly in blazing sunshine, this was his 2nd attempt to get past the riders back to his herd.
Right on my door step.. they come to the countryside and ruin it. Why come to areas of beauty and ruin it… Then idiots build fires, land goes up in flames and headlines say it’s climate change. I’m at a loss

More than 150 homes planned for another St Albans village ..no surprise it’s not affordable to locals and the younger generation.. existing houses and flats not selling as it is..greenbelt won’t exist the way it’s going ..where’s the infrastructure and services to support this development @StAlbansCouncil?

This slow worm didn’t stand a chance.
The density of free-roaming domestic cats is out of hand, and nature has no defence. They kill millions of our birds, bats, reptiles, moths & butterflies yearly. Let's give wildlife a fighting chance. 🌍👇 #ProtectOurWildlife
Utterly disgusted to see Croudace Homes wilfully clearing mature trees and hedgerows in Shenfield during the height of the breeding season. Century old oaks hosting nesting birds and other wildlife have been felled. We need to place more value on our natural environment.
Michelle Moran, 63, of Bebington, Wirral, has been banned from keeping animals for life after throwing her Jack Russell terrier Gypsy into a boating lake at Gautby Road in Birkenhead to drown.
Moran claimed she believed Gypsy had cancer and tumours and could not afford veterinary euthanasia, but none of her alleged conditions were confirmed by any veterinary diagnosis.
Gypsy's body was recovered from the lake by a member of the public on September 29 last year.
When examined, the dog weighed just 3.7 kilograms and scored two out of nine on a body condition score, indicating severe malnourishment. Her mouth and nose were bloodied.
Veterinary evidence confirmed the surrounding concrete wall would have made it almost impossible for a small or weakened dog to escape the water.
Moran pleaded guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act and received a 17-week suspended sentence, a lifetime animal ban, a curfew, and rehabilitation requirements. The RSPCA described Gypsy's death as horrendous and called Moran's actions extremely callous.
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
Gone are the Ox-eye Daisies & Buttercups.
From 'No Mow May' to 'Mow Mow June'.... the same roadside verges got mowed today. I wonder what you think? Pretty much zero pollen & nectar, no 'slowing the flow', no significant biodiversity benefit. Also it doesn't look great either...
An Israeli soldier testifies UNDER OATH that October 7th was a FALSE FLAG, and that he was ordered to STAND DOWN from 5:20am to 9am the day of the attack.
You could face up to 5 years in prison for sharing this video in Israel.
This greeted a North Pennines keeper in private woodland - habitat the estate manages for the Red-listed Spotted Flycatcher.
Bags of rubbish. Discarded kit. No respect for the land or the people who look after it.
We're told keepers are too quick to move campers on. This is what they're left to clear up.
Can't take your litter home? Then you've no business in the countryside.

@BerylWallxx@greenbeltsal@raelbrav Because rioting is a particularly effective way to bring about change. 🙄 And another opportunity for Tommy Robinson to figure in the news.
Since Labour came to power in 2024, some 28 permits have been quietly issued - even though, just like the Tories, the party promised in its manifesto to ban trophy imports. New stats are revealed in a report by @CBTHunting.
