Outside of a spotty mountain shower or t-storm expect dry conditions. Temperatures will trend cooler than normal in the upper 60s and mid 70s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Clear skies tonight with lows in the upper 40s & mid 50s. More sun and temps near 80 Wednesday.
With May 2026 in the books, Meteorological Spring (March-May) has concluded. It was a very mild period with continued below average rainfall amounts. 6 of the 8 climate sites saw average temperatures reaching the top 10 mark within historical records. #MDwx#VAwx#DCwx#WVwx
Drying out and turning less humid today as a cold front sags south of the region. Sunny skies and seasonable temps Friday into the weekend. Highs will push into the 70s and low 80s (60s mountains) with lows in the 50s.
Temperatures are expected to top out in the mid 70s to lower 80s (60s mountains) this afternoon, which is near normal for late May. Dry weather and northwest breezes will continue, though a few extra clouds or a sprinkle can't be ruled out especially in northeast/central MD late.
