Just completed an in-depth exploration of Tennessee Girls’ Basketball through my Zone Hoops 615, delving into the rich history and remarkable achievements of both past and present coaches who have made their mark at public high schools during state tournaments. A huge thank you to all the coaches, sportswriters, and TN hoops historians for their invaluable insights! Special thanks to Tim Allen and BCATHOOPS for their collaboration in bringing this project to life. Excited to share a series that highlights some of the top coaches and their incredible journeys to the TSSAA state tournament.
🏀 Our selection criteria? Coaches must have at least three state tournament appearances, and if they coached both public and private schools, their public school team appearances needed to exceed those at private institutions. We did our best to include as many coaches as we could get information on. If we left someone out, please reach out and let us know. The graphics will be added to the BCAT site as well. Stay tuned for a future listing of more girls state tournament coaches being recognized for their excellence! This first group is the ultimate “Elite “ coaches that have become legends! #TNBasketball #CoachingLegends
🏀✨ Coach Jim Brown has established himself as one of the most successful girls' basketball coaches in the state, transforming Jackson County High School into a perennial powerhouse! @BCATHOOPS
