I used to be with it, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I'm with isn't ‘it’, and what's ‘it’ seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you.
@JackWDart@KayBurley Yet through all of this life has got financially worse for a key demographic. What is in that list genuinely has a significant impact on that core of the UK that never asks for a handout and turns up day in day out for a job and pays their taxes. Nothing.
@NoContextHumans Why is the term hack used for such things. a "hack" (or "life hack") refers to a clever, unobvious, or unconventional shortcut used to increase productivity, efficiency, or make everyday tasks easier
@EyesOnProof@JackPosobiec For many people, the disparity in response isn’t just about media dynamics. It’s a flashpoint for years of feeling that concerns around immigration, community cohesion and fairness are treated differently depending on who is affected.real, individual cases stop being about one.
@EyesOnProof@JackPosobiec The difference isn’t really about the victims. It’s about narrative utility. Certain cases get adopted as international symbols because they fit a story that governments, media and NGOs are already organised around. They become useful. Others, however horrific, don’t fit the pic.
@PolitlcsUK@KayBurley Absolutely shambolic justice system. And no wonder people are disillusioned with the current state of the UK. No faith or trust in any institutions.
