We're responding to a brush fire in area of Hwy 285 & Hwy 8, near Mt. Lindo. Fire is on south side of highway and is spreading south. We're conducting door-to-door evacuations of homes in the area; no structures are immediately threatened. Initial info; more to come. PIO enroute.

The poster is from AZ, but the message applies @JeffcoOpenSpace today. Hot trails can be deadly for #dogs. Walk early or late in the day to avoid K9 heat stress & heat stroke. Some dogs collapse without warning. Look for symptoms such as thick saliva & frequent stops. #safety

Coyotes are an excellent reason to leash your #dog. This one was out foraging at 11 a.m. today @ Van Bibber. Coyotes see domestic dogs as competition, particularly during denning season. Be safe, not sorry. ❤️ ‘em, leash ‘em @JeffcoOpenSpace #safety
