@tedcruz Isn't it the job of the Congress, with all their oversight committees, to ensure the money provided to these agencies is well spent? Shouldn't we want them to be fired too?
“The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected.”
Happy 150th to G.K. Chesterton, one of our intellectual heroes.
I feel it’s necessary to amend this tweet with a reminder my husband gave me of Ezekiel 18:23-30. It’s easy to be highly reactive right now but I feel a responsibility not to be. Upon reflection I am reminded that to change hearts we have to love people like God loves us with kindness, grace and mercy that is wholly undeserved. Deception cannot be removed by holding people’s actions to the grindstone. Yet in love being a living example of God’s character. He will bring judgement and sort things out, that’s His job. Perhaps the answer here is to do our best to live our lives in such a way that those who might be sucked in by this evil if when given the chance in our presence see the peace and justice of God (the very thing that those who get drawn into this deception are searching for) who lives in us and realize that they are in the wrong by our example. That doesn’t mean you have to hire people who actively hold these beliefs. It also doesn’t mean we should have blacklists, we can’t let the pendulum swing back that hard. We must continue to have free speech, I want to know exactly what everyone believes and I don’t want them to be afraid to say it.
@TulsiGabbard@RobertKennedyJr That's why President Washington was against parties, the head or the party should not be running the country, but they think they do
