Let’s talk about something I keep seeing in the tech industry.

Professionals are spending thousands of dollars on certifications, courses, boot camps, and training programs, hoping their next credential will finally help them land a better-paying job.

And don’t get me wrong. I believe in certifications.

I’ve earned certifications in AI, cloud technology, Agile, and product management throughout my career. Continuous learning has helped me remain competitive after more than 20 years in technology.

But here’s something I want more tech professionals to understand:

A certification validates what you’ve learned. A project demonstrates what you’re capable of delivering.

And in today’s competitive job market, you need both.
