Happy anniversary, legend!
On the PirateGames subreddit, they seem to have decided to call a truce on Control Resonant. Top comment is basically "let's buy this one and support them, lads" 🥲
If the Kansas City Chiefs don't beat the Indianapolis Colts by more than 6 points tonight, I'm buying every single person who sees this a brand new Kia Sportage.

There's a lot of good to be said about the FFVIIRev demo, but Mai was absolutely overbearing. Constantly interrupting the game at nearly every turn. Had a convo with the developers in hopes that these elements can be reduced or optional. They understood the criticism/request.

As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that they would cancel the PHYSINT project. PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.
OoT Remake Thoughts:
They avoided the things i was most worried about, Stamina Bar, ToTK spot dodge/flurry rush, and Voiced Link. Quick-swap is a great change, inventory is small enough in this it works way better than in ToTK. Boots/ocarina on dpad is a great change. Micro sprint after roll is a good change (still gonna backwalk). Having a dedicated jump button and the minor swimming mechanic change are cool with me.
I’m all in on the art style, i liked link’s peter pan look in the earlier trailer, and most of the new stuff is killer. To me, OoT/MM’s aesthetic aged so well because it looks almost like a pop-up book, and now it’s like a fairytale book. Only minor blemishes are young Zelda has strange fisheyes, and Darunia looks kinda boring-unimportant NPCish. I don’t love ganondorf’s voice either, he doesn’t match the dark cackle in my mind, he has younger RPG villain voice now imo. But someone told me it matches his ToTK voice (omg spoiler), so i should get with the times.
Since each town area/hyrule field is significantly reshuffled, they either did this almost arbitrarily, or they have bunches of new sidequests in all these areas which make those changes necessary. Pretty sure it’s the latter based on what they said about fleshing out castle town, and it’s more exciting to think that way anyways. Any minor dungeon layout changes also excite me, more possibility for error but could be cool.
As far as i can tell, they showed nothing about ice cavern or the adult jabu area in any of their trailers. Since they showed so much otherwise, i’m thinking maybe ice cavern is more deeply changed than the other content and they’re hiding it intentionally. I remember reading old dev diaries about how they ran out of time on ice cavern, which is why there’s a lame wolf boss you can one shot at the end, so I’m doing a hopeful bet they shuffled up ice cavern more than people might think. I’m betting completely reworked boss, and maybe a significant extension/new entrance. Or they forgot about it, that’s also possible.
Continuing on the thread of cut content logic, an added light temple still might be possible. If i was a real youtuber i would definitely photoshop the empty inventory screen with extra medallion slots missing, and talk about it for 8 hours.
More minor dork stuff:
Link full blocks an iron knuckle swing and only minorly staggers, freakin casual game!!1
Wolf Boss doesn’t die in one backstab anymore
Stalfos have laggier swings tbh
Curious at how randomized the skulltulas are, since the jabu one they showed is where it should be, but with towns reshuffled they can’t all be 1:1. There’s also a few spots i’d expect to hear their TCHKA-TCHKA-TCHKA in dungeon and didn’t (doubt that means anything)
No dampe shown, role possibly expanded???
Overall i’m more impressed than i thought I’d be, pretty sweet. Hyped. You can all stop asking me now, but thank you for thinking of me.
