It's COMPETITION DAY!
Months of preparation have led to this moment!
Today, Rwanda's brightest young speakers take the stage to compete for the title of The ORATOR 2026, demonstrating the confidence, eloquence, and critical thinking they have developed throughout this journey.
Over the past few days, the finalists of The ORATOR English Competition 2026 have taken part in an intensive bootcamp hosted at the University of Rwanda – College of Science and Technology, where they have refined their public speaking, strengthened their spoken English, built confidence, and learned from one another.
More than preparation for a competition, the bootcamp has been an investment in the next generation of confident communicators and future leaders.
This morning at Intare Arena, President Kagame, Chairman of the @rpfinkotanyi, is chairing the extended RPF Bureau Politique meeting, bringing together over 2000 RPF members, leaders from public and private sector, representatives of other political parties, diplomatic corps and young professionals. Day 2 of the 2025/2026 Secondary School National Examinations was successfully conducted, with the examination process continuing smoothly nationwide. The Director General of Communications at MINEDUC, @JC_Hashakineza , visited examination centres in Nyanza, Huye, and Gisagara districts to monitor the ongoing administration of the exams.
Minister Nsengimana also called on development partners to align their support with countries' education priorities and needs to accelerate progress in foundational learning.
The 2026 Foundational Learning Exchange(FLEX) brings together Ministers of Education, development partners, and education experts from across Africa and beyond under the theme "From Commitments to Results: Delivering Foundational Learning at Scale" to share experiences and advance collective action to improve foundational learning outcomes for all children.
Today, Minister @JoNsengimana participated in the Ministerial Panel at the opening of FLEX2026 in Lilongwe, Malawi, where he reaffirmed Rwanda's commitment to delivering quality foundational learning for every child.
Speaking alongside fellow African education leaders, the Minister emphasized that education remains a national priority for Rwanda. He noted that Rwanda will continue to invest in education and advance sector reforms because every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive.
