Flood advisory for the Galveston area until 10:15a. That could be extended. Scattered showers already throughout the Houston area as well.

Large gas truck fire has the N Loop EB near Wayside closed. No word on injuries yet.

An update from law enforcement..the driver of the 18wh died in the fiery crash. No other vehicle was involved. The Hardy Toll Rd remains closed SB at Aldine Bender for cleanup and to investigate.

Crash with an 18 wh fire E Loop SB at Market St. Several lanes blocked. Occurred about 8:40a.

TXDOT is reporting approx 20 locations of flooding that have been verified. Most along 45 near NASA and Galveston. Hwy 225 is closed near main due to high water on the main lanes.

Hwy 225 WB at the E. Belt is closed due to a fatal crash and fire. Big delays. Occurred around 5:15am.

Flames have gone down in the east. May have been a flare at a plant near Baytown. If it was something else, I’ll pass along.
