Chat Control 1 is back. Despite the European Parliament voting down the legislation twice this year, the Council of the European Union and parts of the Parliament today managed – through an urgent procedure – to extend it for another two years. The law was originally introduced as temporary legislation, so that its effectiveness could be evaluated. At the end of 2025, the European Commission itself concluded that it was not possible to determine whether the law had any measurable effect. Even so, it has now been pushed through.

Some of today's amendments could have stopped the law. And a majority of the voting MEPs wanted to do so. By a margin of 314-276, the Parliament voted to reject the proposal through these amendments. However, since it was an urgent procedure, 361 votes were required. As a result, the majority lost today and Chat Control 1 was passed. The urgent procedure was a dirty play by the Council and parts of the Parliament – it’s a procedure not meant to be used on legislation already rejected by the Parliament.

For now, Chat Control 1 will remain in effect. This means that tech companies may continue scanning communications without a warrant or suspicion.

However, the real battle is Chat Control 2. Unlike Chat Control 1, it would require all providers to scan communications, and to do so far more extensively than Chat Control 1 ever has.

Ihr erster Chef: Wolfgang Schnur. Ein Stasi-IM seit Mitte der 1960er Jahre, der die Kirche und Oppositionelle ausspionierte. Er rekrutierte persönlich die damals noch unbekannte 35-jährige Merkel im Februar 1990 als Pressesprecherin des Demokratischen Aufbruchs. Tage vor der Wahl wurde Schnur enttarnt. Merkel überlebte sie.

Ihr zweiter Chef: Lothar de Maizière. Der letzte Ministerpräsident der DDR. Ebenfalls im Dezember 1990 als Stasi-Informant enttarnt. Auch eng mit Merkels Vater durch Kirchennetzwerke verbunden. Merkel diente als seine stellvertretende Regierungssprecherin.

Zwei Chefs. Zwei Stasi-Kollaborateure. Ein kometenhafter Aufstieg in den Bundestag bis Dezember 1990.

Davor? Merkel war FDJ-Sekretärin für Agitation und Propaganda an der Akademie der Wissenschaften — eine Rolle, die ihre Kollegen bestätigen und die das Verbreiten marxistisch-leninistischer Ideologie bedeutete, nicht das „Buchen von Theaterkarten“, wie sie behauptete. Ihr Bürokollege Frank Schneider war ein registrierter Stasi-Informant unter dem Decknamen „Bachmann“.

Und heute? Im März 2026. Das Verwaltungsgericht Berlin urteilt, dass ihre Stasi-Akten versiegelt bleiben. Für immer.

Die Logik des Gerichts ist ein perfekter bürokratischer Kreis: Sie kann nicht als Stasi-Kollaborateurin nachgewiesen werden, weil die Akten, die beweisen würden, ob sie eine war, nicht geöffnet werden können.

Der Kläger — der Forscher Marcel Luthe — wurde verurteilt, ~20.000 € für das Privileg der Ablehnung zu bezahlen.

Deutschland behauptet, Vergangenheitsbewältigung zu praktizieren — die Auseinandersetzung mit der Vergangenheit. Dies ist das Gegenteil.

Dies ist eine Demokratie, die ihre Mächtigen vor der Wahrheit schützt. Sie können oder wollen sich nicht einmal mit dem Hier und Jetzt auseinandersetzen! Während radikale Islamisten frei Deutsche vergewaltigen und töten.

Die langen Schlangen der Deutschen, die vor ihren derzeitigen Lesungen stehen? Ein Beweis dafür, dass dieses Land nun verloren ist. Zum großen Teil jedenfalls. 1,4% der Akademiker bekennen sich derzeit dazu, konservativ zu sein.

Auch dafür hat sie gesorgt. Die Deutschland-Zerstörerin mit den Zitteranfällen wenn es um ihr Land ging…
