MERCY TUESDAY
(Romans 5:5)

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday, I anchor my hope in You. By the working of the Holy Spirit, pour the love of Christ deeply into my heart. Heal the places wounded by waiting and disappointment. Strengthen my soul where hope has been tested. Silence every voice of fear that rises against my faith, and establish my heart in the assurance that comes from Your unfailing love.

Lord, purify my hope and let nothing distort it, weaken it, or detach it from You. May my trust rest not in circumstances, but in Your promises, Your mercy, and Your eternal faithfulness. Amen.

Jesus, I trust in you !

DIE BY FIRE PRAYER. AN HONEST ADVICE.

I Know many people are bent on saying the die by fire prayers. I am not here to stop you, I am sincerely offering you an advise on how it may work.

If you read the bible from Mtt to Rev, you will never see where Holy Ghost fire killed any demon or person.

However, there are actually scriptures we can use for Die by fire prayers: 👉"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both Body and soul in hell" Mtt 10:28

👉"Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Mtt 25:41

These two scriptures show that hell fire can destroy or kill both human beings(enemies) and demons.

Pursuant to these scriptures, here is ny advice: When next you gather to do your die by fire prayers , say it this way "Every Demons of Poverty or disappointment or delays etc die by Hell fire, i Invoke the fire of hell on you right now, let hell fIre consume and destroy you. Die by hell fire, die, die die by fire". Then the prophet or leader can shout: "Heeeeelll" and the rest can respond "Fireeeeeeee".

I suggest you don't add "in Jesus name" at the end. it may spoil it for you because Jesus may not allow you to use his name to accomplish what he didn't do and his Apostles didn't either. So, consider not using "in Jesus name" as it may spoil it. You can actually do like Elijah and say " If I be a man of God or an anointed Child of God, let fire kill you".

Honestly if it works and we see people drop dead, I am so organising die by fire prayers against our politicians first, before bandits and then terrorists. When people see it happen, every body(including clergy) go arrange themselves, it will become a detterent against evil doers.

This is an honest advice, but I know some will still doubt my good intention and accuse and curse me. No wahala, at least you can't fault the biblical interpretation and application I did here.

Loud Prayers, Die by Fire Prayers and the Bible.

Firstly, I want to distinguish between LOUD or VOCAL prayers and SCREAMING prayers. Till tomorrow I do loud prayers at the appropriate occasion. The charismatic Renewal is known for loud prayers. The pitch or volume of loud prayers depends on individuals and PAS.

SCREAMING prayers is different. We have seen videos of people screaming in the name of prayers, if you think it is okay and normal, that's your business. My argument is against Die by Fire prayers, screaming prayers and it is going to be biblically based.

Biblically, "die by Fire prayers" and screaming prayers have no basis. The bible doesn't give us one model or style of prayers, but when we study it carefully, we can't be unsure about practices or pieties it never supports. Die by Fire prayers and screaming prayers are two of such.

You are free to pray any how you want. It is true that only God decides what prayers to answer. However, since the bible is our authority on spiritual matters, I am drawing your attention to certain biblical facts about prayer.
1. Die by Fire prayer(whether directed against demons or human enemies) is USELESS for the fact that you can't kill any no matter how long you invoke the fire. When we say such prayer is useless, it is a characterisation of the activity itself and not the actor. If you don't understand it this way, or take it as an insult on your person, the problem would be English comprehension.

2. Both LOUD and CALM prayers are recorded in the bible, both are legitimate ways of praying and people are at liberty to choose whichever they prefer. Personally, I prefer and recommend CALM prayers.

The reason I prefer and recommend it is biblical. The two times Jesus prayed intensely and loudly were at Gethsemane and on the Cross. At Gethsemane, it was so intense that he sweated blood. He prayed that the cup should pass him by. Now notice that despite the intensity of the prayers, it was not granted. He had to drink that cup. Doesn't this show you that the efficacy of prayers doesn't depend on intensity? Then on the cross it was "My God My God why have you forsaken me" in a loud cry. Heb 5:7 would capture this. Did the Father bring him down from the cross? No.

Now pay attention to other times he prayed CALMLY. At the multiplication of loaves, the raising of Lazarus, the miracles of healing, turning of water into wine, even the calming of the storm was calmly commanded. I'm giving you biblical stats, do whatever you want with them. The facts speak for themselves.

Let's go to the Old Testament. You will find same pattern. Isaac prayed for Rebecca CALMLY and she conceived. Moses didn't SCREAM at the sea before it parted, didn't SCREAM before manna and quails came. Oh, Elijah the man of fire didn't SCREAM and SHOUT, the prophets of baal did all that and got no results. Elijah prayed calmly and fire came. Are you taking note of the stats?

Let's use one more example. Hannah. She prayed intensely evey day until the day she encountered Eli. Eli told her to stop crying and go home. Notice that she stopped her INTRNSITY prayers before pregnancy came, that means she believed what the priest told her. It was in that period of CALMNESS that she conceived, not during the period of INTENSITY. I could go on and on. Is it Peter and John at the beautiful Gate? "Silver and gold I have none. In the name of Jesus stand up and walk" were spoken calmly.

This is not a condemnation of those who like to shout loudly at prayer. This is just an unbiased presentation of biblical data and narrative on prayers. Biblical evidence shows that God answered simple and noiseless or non boisterous prayers. If the reason you shout and scream during prayers is because you were taught that's what praying in the Holy Spirit is, or that's what makes prayers effective, let bible and reality be your guide.

Prayer to the Immaculate Conception

O Mary, conceived without sin, chosen from all eternity to bear the Light of the world, we come before you with a humble heart.

Mother most pure, your “yes” opened the door of salvation; your obedience shattered the darkness of sin. Look kindly upon us and upon all who seek your intercession today.

Immaculate Mother, wrap us in your mantle of grace. Teach our hearts to love Jesus as you love Him, to trust Him as you trusted, and to surrender to the will of the Father with a joyful heart.

Daily Novena Prayer to St. Maria Goretti

Saint Maria Goretti, who, strengthened by God's grace, did not hesitate, even at the age of twelve, to shed your blood and sacrifice life itself to defend your virginal purity, look graciously on the unhappy human race, which has strayed far from the path of eternal salvation.
