Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. Built for more.
My current working pattern:
Ask AI to produce a multi-step plan.
Review and commit each step (in bite sizes).
AI maintains a living design document with scope, assumptions, and out-of-scope items as a reference point β prevents "Frankenstein" prototypes.
The scarce skill in the AI era is the ability to convert information into experience quickly. AI shortens each individual development cycle, so the people who pull ahead are the ones who close more loops per unit time and extract durable learning from each one.
AI has officially mastered the art of human software development: putting "write tests" in the plan and then absolutely never doing it.
The exact response when I asked was:
You're right β I planned tests in the verification section but didn't write any.
Current AI situation as I see it:
Gemini seems dead (until I/O?).
Codex for teams goes only up to plus plan and then API pricing.
Claude has both standard and premium seats for teams, but you can't use opencode, you're forced to their (subpar) CLI.
<<Ms Gunn is, however, Australia's top-ranking breakdancer - and an expert researcher on breaking. She works for Sydney's Macquarie University as a creative arts researcher specialising in 'the cultural politics of breakdancing', and has a PhD.>>
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice - in practice there is" (Yogi Berra)
"Just as GitHub was founded on Git, today we are re-founded on Copilot"
In other words, Just as GitHub was founded on FOSS, today they are re-founded on a proprietary service with built-in data-collection.
Great, one more reason to keep building @radicle.
