my problem is, i treat the talking stage like an actual relationship. i get attached, invested, and emotionally involved way too early, then end up expecting relationship-level effort from someone who technically never promised me anything. i need to learn to match the energy, not the potential.
Currently going through this. How someone can build a relationship tg and be each others everything and the next day become total strangers is beyond me and I don’t possess the ability to just not care, it is miserable and agonizing.
Modern dating really shows you how little people give a fuck about your feelings, someone will talk to you every day, build a whole connection, make you feel seen, heard, and valued, and then switch up out of nowhere like none of that ever mattered, leaving you to sit there wondering how it was so easy for them to just not care.
@artfuIchaos Literally one of my biggest pet peeves. Like why is SO difficult to take 10 seconds to say u will be busy or chat later. If they wanted to, they would, I guess.
one thing I CANNOT STAND is being ignored. if you’re busy, say so. if you are not in the mood to talk, say so. If you are done with me, say so. COMMUNICATE.
I want to fall in love with someone who loves me just as deeply in return. But I don’t want it to be just love, I want us to be best friends, to genuinely adore and respect each other, to feel safe with one another, and to fit together so naturally, like two pieces of a puzzle. I have faith that one day, I’ll find that kind of love.
"'are you a freak" lowk yeah but i would also kiss every single one of your insecurities, sit in the cold just to see you for 5 mins, hold you in my arms while you cry, defend your name behind your back, block anyone for you, and love you unconditionally
