@SteveChiger "A Soldier for the Crown" by Charles Johnson is also written in 2nd person as a method of concealing and slowly revealing certain details. I love this story for point of view and irony.
@heymrsbond I love this thinking! I have considered similes to be a more direct comparison in general. However, I’m currently teaching Woodson’s Before the Ever After—so many similes! I love the idea of extra room.

@JoelRGarza Yes. I just built in the extra time this semester with a no-penalty late work deadline. I do require a late work reflection but it’s about communication, not punishment.
ATTENTION FALCONS 🛑 Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, March 8), there will be bins in the commons for collecting the above supplies for Ukraine. 💙💛@NaFo_Falcons@ChandlerNaFo#NaFoAllIn#OneNation
Returned to my room last night to find @NAFO_BetaClub volunteering to wipe down desks. I told them “after you clean, please don’t forget to leave a chocolate on my pillow…” Thank you @JCooperNAFO and your awesome students!
Snow could start as soon as 4-7am Friday morning but the main show is in the afternoon the evening. I don't like to make decisions for people but everyone leaving work & school in the middle of the day at the same time has been a disaster in the past. #snOMG#cltwx
Working my way through The Chosen and the Beautiful while I’m hunkered down and it is delightful. It’s The Great Gatsby from Jordan Baker’s POV, and I just love her as the narrator. (She’s talking about Nick here.)
