@DylanIsWriting Musk sucks, but so does Zuck! And Threads doesn’t let you have your ball back if you want to take it and leave. I’ve also had some genuine human and inspiring writing interactions here, so I’ll be here until they send me packing.
@chamomeriam This is incredibly helpful insight, thank you. Question on comps if you’re able to address it: How recently should the comp titles be published? In the last two years, or can we go back five or ten years? Thanks!
@zoeallisonauth1 Thank you! That term did not make it across the pond, in my experience. But maybe that’s what anglers will start saying when they hook a little scup and not the bigger fish they’re targeting - “I’ve been scuppered by the scup again!”
@zoeallisonauth1 It is - a bit small and bony, but pan-sized, salty and delicious! I’m also curious - what’s a scupper? Or is it a descriptor and not a thing?
.@sarahana@SenatorHinchey we need you to ban bee-killing pesticides and protect our food, water, and health! Time is running out to pass the Birds and Bees Protection Act – please act today! https://t.co/xTHDqAIFdl
@wolf_vis Reviewers should never attack an author personally. Criticism of the work is expected in publishing. But the best writing workshop leaders tell participants to always start a critique with what’s working, and to only critique the work. Reviewers should follow that advice.
