So, in a strange turn of events, I got diagnosed with Crohn's. I start my treatment tomorrow... this is my medication for 2 months. I'm not exactly excited, but at least I got answers to why things were going wrong with my body...
I have just finished my third shift in a row in paeds ED. What on the earth is going on at the moment? I have seen more sick kids in the space of 3 days than I have in a lifetime. I am exhausted and emotionally and mentally drained.
My first shift on paeds ED. Everyone was beyond friendly and excited to see a new paeds nurse on the team. I have never been made to feel so welcome and valued as a team member. Very excited for my next few shifts π
