It's up! Long awaited and long stressed over: Harvest attributes and seed quality predict physiological maturity of pennycress🌱
It's not open access, but if you'd like to read it and can't access it, DM me and I'll send you a copy!
What did we learn?
👉🏼Parameters of pennycress physiological maturity (PM) maximized in a similar order regardless of environment and year
👉🏼Pennycress reached PM between 2230-2250C CGDD
👉🏼Pennycress moisture is too high for mechanical harvest at PM and will need to be reduced

Yesterday someone breathlessly ran up to me in a store and yelled "you're young, does this look good?!" It did. And it was a nice reminder that feeling old and crippled from grad school doesn't actually mean that I'm old and crippled🙃
My periodontist: You can go back to your normal work activities tomorrow
Also my periodontist: Ice for 40 minutes every hour for the next two days

The great thing about having a standing desk is that I'm not sitting all day, but the terrible thing is that it's just so easy to wander away every 5 minutes when I'm trying to write

One of the great joys of hosting a science podcast is learning about things I never even thought about before- like octopuses! 🐙🐙
Learn more about these many-armed friends in the latest episode of @hookedonscience!
Is it octopuses or octopi? 🐙🐙🐙
What happens when an octopus loses an arm?
And HOW MANY brains do they have???
Learn the answers to these burning questions and more in this week's episode with @MegHolst, co-host of @SharkpediaPod!

You should go listen to this awesomely interesting @hookedonscience episode with @SciWithEmily! It's always a delight to learn about something new, but this was completely out of my wheelhouse and I was riveted during the interview and again during editing
