It’s very simple.
We live in the richest country on earth, during a supposed golden age, we shouldn’t have to eat like we live in a Mexican barrio during the Great Depression.
Eating out shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for the independently wealthy.
If the people in positions of power can’t deliver on these things they need to be removed from their positions of power
We need to take Swatting seriously.
There is no excuse in 2026 for such a high percentage of law enforcement to be unaware of what it is, and not be giving resources to tracking down the perpetrators.
It has fatal consequences.
Also afaik Tokyo is a capitalist city with plenty of world class businesses and free enterprise, not “communist.” People work hard. Everyone with a job eats out every day. Here’s a lunch about $9 at one of top places for soba. Soup noodle and icefish tempura A+
Columbia’s new president is choosing to be inaugurated today in Cali, rather than the traditional location in the capital city of Bogotá, as a direct challenge to the guerillas and leftwing militia groups that have made Colombia’s third city the front line of this war.
The burrito ramen discourse from conservatives wouldn’t be relevant if it didn’t take fifteen rounds of interview to compete for a job with intolerable arrogance from undeserving employers, and subsequent inability to build wealth. Economy isn’t free and there’s no meritocracy. Maybe deliver the minimum of providing an even playing field for intelligent and ambitious young before lecturing them about saving money on luxuries like Taco Bell.
(Also quite absurd for people with sinecures at conservative media who’ve never worked a real job to do the Jack Kemp act yet again.)
In this case the intelligent and ambitious young and especially white men 18-25 are the only plausible future of the country that doesn’t end in a slum plus nursing home stagnant outhouse and can be the human basis of an advanced future. The problem is in the end conservatives haven’t delivered the bare minimum of liberal society, meritocracy. Maybe they’re unable to but I see little evidence it’s been their concern. And without the kind of reform that reestablishes some of the freedom and opportunity of eg American economy 1890-1930 all efforts will have been evanescent.
1983 — Secret Service agents evacuate President Reagan at Augusta National Golf Club where Charles Harris took seven hostages and demanded to speak with the president.
Honestly, the Republican Party should play this clip 24/7 for the entire midterms and then again in 2028. This is the reality of the radical left in the US (and everywhere else) and everybody should see and hear it so they're in absolutely no doubt about what these scum want.
Again, this sort of thing should be a capital crime-- a senior police officer participating in a gangland shooting.
We just aren't remotely serious enough about punishing crime in this country.
