7:45 pm on a Friday and we ain’t stopping! Enjoying this growth stage at JDA Trials where we continue to level up weekly. We have traction, audacious goals, and are having fun taking big swings. That’s what entrepreneurship is all about, right?
Ever wonder what it looks like from a tesla's POV to be run over by an 18-wheeler on a Texas highway? Now ya know. Pretty scary! Trucker took off and thought he got away with it. We tracked him and his insurance down, filed the lawsuit, and now JDA Trials is bringing the heat!
2) Law firm owners, please consider trying us out on a case or two! Currently our referring attorneys range from periodic updates to co-counsel.
Onwards and upwards!

JDA Trials – Law Firm Snapshot #1 (2026)
I’m building JDA Trials to be a law firm focused primarily on being a litigation partner for personal injury law firms that want to focus their resources and efforts more on case acquisition + select litigation and less on volume lit -->
My Requests
1) Watching for the right full-time litigator to bring on. Open to biglaw attorneys ready for their next chapter or experienced personal injury attorneys. Please holler if this is your cup of tea.
-->
Team
Current team consists of myself, operations, paralegal, and a roster of 4 contract attorneys. I focus on identifying the strong suits of the attorneys and then utilize them for research/analysis/drafting in those niches.

@Camp4 Oh man. My little guy is starting Kindergarten in the fall. What a great reminder to cherish every moment I can because in a blink of an eye he will be heading off into the world on his own adventure.
**UPDATE - FOR SALE 1.89M**
Needing to part ways with the ranch in order to grow my new law firm. Ranch was under contract at 2.3M since February but buyer backed out this week. Buyer had wanted to convert the ranch back to being a fish farm (was a Catfish supplier for H-E-B in an earlier life). Big investment and hard work needed to pull something like that off in this day and age.
I’m very eager to double down and invest heavily in my legal practice so I’m looking to move the ranch fast at $1,890,000.
After it was a fish farm some doctors bought it and built it into a high-fence exotic ranch. They did well selling exotic hunts right outside Houston. I thought I was going to do the same but wife couldn’t stomach it. So I was breeding exotic deer and those furry Highland cows and utilizing the 100% bonus depreciation for livestock. It was a wild experience for a city boy like me. I’ll definitely miss it!
In the DMs. This is neat!

Left my partner position at a biglaw firm to team up and try cases with my childhood friend/college roommate. At the end of our first year I was supposed to be getting a check with 40% of the year’s atty fees. Instead he gave me some chickenshit excuse and stiffed me. Lesson learned.
It’s obscene. In TX between my primary house and a bay house I was forking over an incredible amount in premiums annually. And then tax appraisers raised house values and hit everyone with bigger property tax bills to top things off. Real estate ownership has lost its appeal for me
@theantonioreza@GergelyOrosz Super nice? I’d call it just having a bare minimum level of human decency to provide a few months of health insurance coverage. “Performance” standards are always a moving target. Especially in situations like these.
This is why you can’t have health insurance coverage tied your job. Mass “performance” cuts and now you have whole families hoping to get by until they can be hired somewhere and their accounts quickly draining from Cobra premiums. That IVF treatment some families were in the middle of is no longer financially feasible and god forbid one of the kids has a serious chronic illness. Messing with a lot of people’s lives just to save a few bucks for the books.
