Isabella “Izzy” Sause. College soccer player. Pre-nursing student. Dreamed of becoming a nurse so she could help kids fighting the same fight she was in.

She lost her battle with cancer Sunday morning, surrounded by family. Her coach called her a beaming light. Her teammates said she was sunshine on the cloudiest day. Even sick, she was the loudest cheerleader on the sidelines.

That’s not just a sad headline. That’s a kid who chose joy while the world was trying to take it from her.

Rest easy, Izzy.

PRAY for Our Christian Brother in Prison 🙏 A persecution watchdog group is speaking out for Christians in Syria, citing a disturbing case as an example of a much broader problem in the country.

Suleiman Khalil is the former mayor of Sadad, a historic Christian town he helped defend against ISIS's mass killings and kidnappings in 2015. Syria's transitional government arrested him in February of 2025.

Richard Ghazal from IDC said, "He was abducted from his home and thrown in prison without access to counsel, limited access to family and medical care."

This young man stood alone.

Lindsay Clancy admitted she strangled her own three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and baby Callan, 8 months. Eleven jurors were ready to let her walk as not criminally responsible. Juror Michael Desronvil would not do it.

He said he had no doubt she knew what she was doing and planned it. Because of him, there was no acquittal. The case is still alive.

One person refused to pretend those kids did not matter. That is a hero.

Think About What You Think About

What you tell yourself every day matters. If you believe something about your identity that isn’t true, then you will struggle to believe what God says about you. 

But, when you root your identity in God and allow His Spirit to shape your life, you will begin to see yourself the way He sees you—and this will influence the way you treat people, situations, opportunities, and events around you.

So, here are three ways you can guard your thoughts and declare God’s truth over your life:

1. Identify the lies you tell yourself.

Your words and actions reveal the narratives you tell yourself. To figure out if a narrative is false, ask yourself: Is this thought marked by fear, insecurity, pride, bitterness, or a lack of confidence? Is this thought leading me to cynical or self-serving behavior? If you can answer “yes” to either of those questions, then the narrative you’re telling yourself probably needs to be addressed and adjusted. 

When you can identify where and when you began believing a lie, it’ll be easier to change the way you think.

2. Shift your perspective.

For every lie, there is a truth that can replace it—and those truths can be found in the Bible. Look over your list of lies, and ask God to show you in His Word what His truth is. Create mental space for the Holy Spirit to clearly show you how He sees you.

3. Declare what’s true.

Turn the truths from Scripture into specific, intentional statements you can declare over your life each day. 

Here are some declarations to get you started:

- I am enough because I am a child of God.
- I rejoice in suffering because Christ suffered for me.
- I am not ashamed of Jesus because His sacrifice changes lives.
- I am greatly loved, and so I love others like I have been loved.
- Nothing can separate me from God’s love.

As you practice these steps, keep in mind that if God—whose Word is truth—says something about you, then it must be true. So allow His Holy Spirit to transform the way you think. Let His thoughts about you become your thoughts about you.

How can you not think of Sodom and Gomorrha? I used to think we were safe, because enough Christians were not doing this. Now, I can't help but think how many of us Christians have not told the people around us about Jesus. We are guilty of nonfeasance.

25 years ago, while the terrorist regime in Tehran preached hatred against USA, ordinary Iranians lit candles for the victims of 9/11.

They didn’t need to be told who the enemy was.

William “Bill” Feehan was 71 years old on September 11, 2001.

He had already spent more than four decades serving New York City and had risen all the way to First Deputy Commissioner of the FDNY. He could have stayed behind a desk. He could have let younger men handle the chaos.

He didn’t.

When the World Trade Center was attacked, Feehan went straight to the scene and helped command the response from the ground. He stayed there as firefighters poured into the towers, coordinating men who were running toward danger while thousands were trying to escape it.

Then the South Tower collapsed.

Bill Feehan was killed in the line of duty.

Think about the kind of man that takes. Seventy-one years old, decades of service behind him, and when America was attacked, he was still there with his firefighters.

That is leadership.
That is duty.
That is courage.

Never forget William Feehan.
Never forget the men who stayed at their post when everything around them was falling apart.
