RIP to the OG of the resus world. He taught me protocol C 17 years ago and Iโve been hooked on the development of resus in pre hospital medicine since. We will continue to do you proud!
RIP to the founding father of Paramedic Science, Professor Douglas Chamberlain CBE, OStJ, KSG (1931 to 2025).
An absolute legend, father to all emergency medical personnel past, present and future, and undoubtedly the saviour of millions of lives since 1971 through his development of pre-hospital emergency care and implementation of cardiac resuscitation techniques.
You will be greatly missed but always admired and importantly, never forgotten!

An insightful opportunity to be taught by the experts! @optibreech thanks for your invaluable knowledge! Loved learning about all things breech.. Even if I was asking @KerrieWykes for help with the midwifery lingo!
Thanks @EastEnglandAmb for the CPD as always and @damow67!
Reflecting on what has been an incredibly insightful 2 days with @EastEnglandAmb and @StephenHearns1 for his performance under pressure course! By far the best course I have attended in my 16 year ambulance service career! Thank you so much once again.
@salmannaeem217@GenerallyUnwell @ClipboardUK @clifford0584@cliffreid@ParamedicsUK@iceman_ex @dbootland A lot of it is based on good hx taking skills which might not always come into fruition 15+ mins in to a resus attempt. Amb crews donโt have access to point of care testing or ultrasound, so we make the best of what we have got. Obvs in post rosc will only state the obvious.
@GenerallyUnwell @ClipboardUK @salmannaeem217@clifford0584@cliffreid@ParamedicsUK@iceman_ex @dbootland This was definitely how it used to be, however as an educator for the last 4 years in the ambulance service it has 100% changed. This is one of our biggest focuses now when teaching resuscitation and the final question in sims is always โso what do you think killed themโ
Our @EastEnglandAmb colleague @LukeAndreou presenting cardiac arrest data from across the region providing a wider perspective on epidemiology at our @EHAAT_ cardiac arrest masterclass ๐
Paramedic Educators, this should be common practice.
Get your student immersed into the ambulance life.
Let them ride up front! Engage with the MDT and prep themselves mentally for the job.
So proud to watch the students graduate and for the faculty chat to them and their families IRL!
Come and study with us next year if you arenโt already.
The first @EastEnglandAmb T&E CPD day was a success! Inspirational speakers talking about the future of VR, recognising ADHD, assessing black and brown skin, ECGs-adapting our teaching methods, QI and COP. Thanks to all involved helping me to organise! @EEAST_Education
