First up, the FBI & DEA identified where the lab was located & who the players were & handed the entire package to the RCMP.

Second, it included the shipping routes (port of Vancouver) the Chinese players who were involved in importing the precursor chemicals, the Chinese players in Canada who sold it to Mexican cartel players living in Canada & operating labs primarily in rural BC.

They gave the RCMP the names of the various Sikh CDN’s who were running the logistics & distribution operations.

They outlined the destinations for the finished products which included the Philippines (distribution hub in Asia), the Netherlands (EU distribution hub), Portland (distribution hub in the western US) & east to a tribal reserve in Saskatchewan (distribution hub for eastern Canada & US). The primary players included Chinese gangsters, Sikh gangsters, motorcycle gangs, & indigenous gangs.

This should have turned into a massive spiderweb of criminal takedowns but would have also made clear 4 troubling things:

Canada has lost control over immigration (can’t seem to screen out criminals from getting TFW & student visas) we have a major Chinese problem, some indigenous gangs members are using their reserves as safe havens & Canada has become a major fentanyl producer & distributor including to the US as Trump claimed.

So as per usual instead of facing up to reality & getting our National Security shit together, we punted & took the rouge!

I'm writing this from Canada with a request I never thought I would make of another country.

Please help us.

Not our government. Us. The Canadian people. Please help us understand what is happening to our own country.

Our relationship with the United States is deteriorating. Our economy is hurting. Canadian and American families are worried about jobs, businesses, mortgages and the country we're going to hand our children. Yet through one of the most consequential trade disputes of our lifetime, ordinary Canadians are being left in the dark about what is actually happening.

We hear statements and vague explanations from our government. What we don't get to see or hear is what actually happened at the table.

Increasingly, Canadians are learning more about negotiations involving our own country by watching non-subsidized taxpayer funded American news and American officials.

Think about how extraordinary that is. Our media isn't working for us. Canadians are looking across the border to understand what our own government is doing. So today, I'm asking you to look back across that border at us.

Please don't leave Canadians in the dark. You have the perfect opportunity to shine the light on the truth and help Canadians to see it.

If you made Canada an offer, show us. If our government rejected something, show us. If Canada made demands that prevented an agreement, show us those too. Because we simply cannot trust what our own government and media is telling us.

Give us the timeline. Give us the documents. Give us whatever can legally be made public.

Then please do something unmistakably American...

Put it in front of the people.

Buy the television ads. Buy the newspaper ads. Buy the digital ads. Build a website containing the documents and put the address everywhere. Run a commercial during the hockey game if that's what it takes.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford bought advertising in your country because he wanted Americans to hear Ontario's message directly.

Please return the favour. Buy the ads in our country. Television, radio, social media...all of it.

Do it for Canadians who deserve to know what is being done in their name.

Americans understand something deeply that shouldn't stop mattering when you reach the 49th parallel: a government should answer to its people.

And people cannot hold their government accountable when they aren't given the information necessary to do it.

That is where we need your help.

Let me repeat this, because many people don't get this. Sorry for the long post but I just can't seem to figure out what to leave out to make my point.

#1 The U.S. is under no obligation to simply give Canada unrestricted access to its markets. We have negotiated access through trade agreements, but that access comes with terms and obligations on both sides. Canada is not inherently entitled to sell whatever it wants into the U.S. market under whatever conditions it wants.

#2 When two parties are negotiating, both are going to try to get the best deal for themselves. No party is under any obligation to accept the other party's proposals. That's literally what a negotiation is.

#3 Canada does not have a lot of bargaining chips relative to the size of the U.S. economy. And some of the bargaining chips we do have, such as energy, electricity, potash, aluminum and critical minerals, could certainly hurt the U.S. if we restricted them. But doing so would almost certainly elicit a tremendously powerful response from the U.S. What you're seeing right now is largely posturing to make it appear that we're being tough. If Canada really wanted to inflict serious economic pain on the U.S., there are ways to do it, but the consequences for Canada could be enormous.

#4 The U.S. has become increasingly concerned about Chinese goods, investment and Chinese content entering the North American market through Canada and Mexico. Washington wants its CUSMA partners much more closely aligned with the U.S. when it comes to China. Whether Canadians like that or not, this has become a major issue in our trading relationship with the United States.

#5 Canadians are furious because the U.S. is using protectionist measures to protect American industries. Yet Canada does exactly the same thing. Our supply-management system puts extraordinarily high tariffs on certain American dairy, poultry and egg products once imports exceed established quotas. Some of those tariffs are well over 200%. We can't pretend Canada is some completely open free-trading country while accusing the Americans of protectionism.

#6 Canada has also imposed measures specifically restricting U.S. automobiles. Canada imposed 25% tariffs on certain U.S. vehicles and established limits on duty-free access for qualifying American vehicles. Canada has even reduced those allowances for companies that moved manufacturing from Canada back to the United States. The U.S. now argues that Canada is treating American automotive products worse than products from some other countries.

#7 Canada also gives certain European dairy products more favourable access than comparable American products. Under Canada's European trade agreement, retailers can access certain cheese import quotas that they cannot access under the equivalent CUSMA quota for American cheese. The U.S. argues, with some justification, that this puts American dairy producers at a disadvantage compared with European producers.

#8 Many provinces pulled American liquor off their shelves as retaliation against the United States. Whatever you think about the symbolism of doing that, it created another barrier against American products while the federal government was simultaneously trying to negotiate a trade agreement with the Americans. The U.S. has specifically identified these restrictions as one of its trade complaints against Canada.

#9 Softwood lumber. This is a decades-old dispute, long before Donald Trump came along. The Americans have argued for decades that Canada's Crown-land stumpage system effectively subsidizes Canadian lumber producers, allowing them to sell lumber into the U.S. at unfairly low prices and undercut American producers. Canada disputes that argument, but pretending this is something Donald Trump suddenly invented is simply false.
