The wins, trophies, and stats are great... but they fade. What lasts is who you become in the process. The discipline, the habits, the mindset, the resilience. That’s the real reward. Chase growth, not just results. The process will shape you more than the outcome ever will. #TrustTheProcess ✅
Halfway through our Fall Skill Development Program, and we LOVE the progress we’re seeing from these players! The biggest difference isn’t just the quality of training... it’s having players who are coachable, willing to be challenged, and committed to applying what they learn!
Het Europese seizoen gaat beginnen! Donderdag spelen we in Polen tegen Anwil Wloclawek, de ENBL kampioen uit 2022.
De wedstrijd is te volgen op het YouTube kanaal van de ENBL 📺
PLAYERS: Block out the noise. Stop worrying about rankings, opinions, stats, and everything outside your control. Your biggest competition is the player staring back at you in the mirror. Own your mistakes, learn from them, correct them, and keep moving forward. Never get too high. Never get too low. Stay hungry, stay accountable, and keep attacking the work. 🏀🔥

Do you measure development by how many games a player plays or by how many meaningful, quality reps they get each day?
This matters most with youth players. If they miss out on quality skill development, fundamentals, decision-making, footwork, spacing and game understanding during their younger years, those gaps become much harder to fix when high school and college arrive. Playing games is important... but games alone don’t build complete players. Deliberate practice, smart coaching and purposeful reps do. Invest in the foundation early. 🏀

Another great week at GVBA! Players put in serious work with a heavy emphasis on the micro-skills that make a big difference.. shooting footwork, balance, release point, shot preparation, finishing angles, touch and playing through contact. The details matter. The reps matter. 🏀
The real competition is the player staring back at you in the mirror.. beat that player every single day. OUTWORK your excuses. 🏀🔥

Got after it tonight at 3x3! Players got more touches. More decisions. More opportunities to attack space. More defensive problems to solve. More advanced coaching.
Teach the skill → create the read → put the player in a situation where they have to solve the problem. #3x3 🏀
Zien we jullie vanmiddag bij de openbare training? Een mooie combinatie om het team in actie te zien en je seizoenkaart af te halen!

Feeling incredibly blessed to have worked with thousands of players from all over the world over the past 20+ years.
But one of the coolest and most inspirational parts of this journey is watching current and former players represent their countries on the biggest stages in the world.
Seeing them compete at the highest levels is something I’ll never take for granted. Proud of every one of them. Keep representing. 🌎🏀 #Blessed
Research comparing constant and variable basketball shooting practice found that the variable-practice group could perform worse during acquisition but show stronger retention later.
That matters.
If every shot is from the same spot, same footwork, same pace and same setup, the player may become really good at that drill.
We want more.
Different locations. Different speeds. Different angles. Different footwork. Different reads.
Because games aren’t predictable. The goal isn’t to make practice look perfect. The goal is to make the player prepared.
Trust the work, trust the process, and keep showing up even when the dream feels far away. 🏀 Your dream doesn’t need everyone else’s approval... keep working, keep believing, and go live the life you’ve been willing to work for.

The goal of skill development shouldn’t be perfection. It should be adaptability.
The game will never give a player the exact same closeout, passing window, defender, angle, or amount of space twice.
So why do so many workouts give players the exact same rep 20 times?
Repetition matters... but repeating the same answer to the same problem isn’t enough.
Great players can adjust the movement when the environment changes. Different pace. Different angle. Different defender. Different read. Don’t just build players who can execute. Build players who can adapt.
Here are members of the @ProjectHarmony2 Anti-Trafficking Team showing off just a few of the backpacks we were able to donate. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped us make a difference in the lives of kids across our community. This is what giving back is all about.
