My son, who has lived in Santa Barbara/Los Angeles and now in San Francisco (Orinda) [he has worked in downtown San Francisco], has been privy to the inner workings of the gay community across the board. He has been propositioned multiple times and resisted. He has seen the darkness first hand and it is ugly, devastatingly anti-humanity. Maybe some actual life-style facts need to come into play, not throwing around the bigot (intolerant toward those holding different opinions) word.

Susan is a product of the liberal left wing culture of San Francisco so she is also blinded by that ideology, a blindness that most of her peers and the SF Chronicle, it appears to be, share. Maybe getting out of her bubble might provide some light to her groping in the darkness, but maybe not. And, she is woefully ignorant of Christian theology and practice. That is to be expected. electricity, magnetism, and light looked separate.
maxwell showed they were one system.

charges create electric fields.
moving charges create magnetic fields.
changing magnetic fields create electric fields.
changing electric fields create magnetic fields.

put the four equations together and the math says:
light is an electromagnetic wave.
not a metaphor.

electric and magnetic fields oscillating through space at the speed of light.
radio, wifi, antennas, motors, generators, optics, electronics.

all sitting on four equations.
good math does not just describe reality.

it reveals the architecture underneath it.
