@profgalloway Hi, Scott. Love Pivot. How about next conference in West Lafayette, Indiana. Big tech hub, 40,000 students, and plays deep into your admirable views about higher ed oligarchs. Give it a thought.
On our best days we should aspire to be half the man that #JohnMcCain was... and to have our country live up to a fraction of his daily, graceful existence.
Thinking of @cindymccain & @MeghanMcCain 🇺🇸❤️🇺
Every Trump enabler needs to ask: “If a patriot like Alexander Vindman can endure the slings and arrows that come with standing up for what’s right, what’s stopping me from putting principle over career? How do I want to be remembered?”

Cancelled my @audmapp subscription today with regret. The promise was to receive, pay for and support great journalism. Well they got the support, but I didn’t get the journalism. The app doesn’t work. #poortech
Getting an 8pm curfew alert on my phone during a pandemic and Depression while Trump invites Putin to the US is about where I thought we'd be in year 4 of Trump.
We are one nation. One nation in need of justice and healing.
I don’t expect this “president” to understand that.
But I do expect him to stop stoking the fires of racism and constrain his apparent zeal for bloodshed.
And if cannot, he can do the nation a service, and shut up.
How do you thank the friends who brought you homemade soup and groceries, lilacs and Zingerman’s, who lent you their oximeter, and walked you to the ER, and checked on you every single day? I am still searching for a way, but nothing is good enough.
Another Inspector General fired by Trump in the dead of night.
Another apparent act of retaliation and cover up.
To shield a loyal cabinet secretary from oversight and accountability.
And undermine the rule of law.
This surfeit of corruption must end. And soon.
Barack Obama during #GraduateTogether: "Doing what feels good, what's convenient, what's easy, that's how little kids think. Unfortunately, a lot of so-called grown-ups including some with fancy titles & important jobs still think that way. Which is why things are so screwed up."
I just voted YES on the Heroes Act to:
☑️Put more money in your pocket.
☑️Extend unemployment benefits.
☑️Provide hazard pay for front line workers.
☑️Increase help to small businesses.
☑️Support states, cities, and schools.
And more.
The American people need help. Now.
We can have leaders like Barack Obama again. We don’t have to go through another four years of this. But we’re gonna have to work really, really hard to make it happen.
