One week ago, Alec Lewis was having about how Kyler Murray was leagues better than JJ McCarthy.
Now he is saying they are even.
To make up so much ground so quickly means JJ dramatically outpaced Kyler through OTAs.
Keep in mind that these 7-on-7 drills are the best it gets for Kyler.
He only gets WORSE when the pads come on and linenen enter the picture.
Starting to believe McCarthy starts week 1.
Just one man's amateur opinion:
J.J. McCarthy had a better #Vikings minicamp than Kyler Murray.
Doesn't matter much, but thought JJM was sharper, more crisp.
@TheRealForno This is simply not true. Kevin said “the gap is not close” after one practice when it turns out JJ is out performing Kyler so far.
Then he asks JJ about being traded? Get outta here.
@SeifertESPN He does have a point. You are heavily biased in your reporting on the QB battle in that you hardly ever give JJ any praise when he does well, but then when Kyler does bad you make excuses for him. And that question regarding if JJ wants a trade yesterday, very unprofessional.
@SeifertESPN This is the most one sided and lazy reporting I have ever read. Must be nice having a job where you don’t actually have to work. @espn how does he have a job?
Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy are still splitting reps evenly again today at the first day of Vikings mandatory minicamp.
However, Murray got the nod first during 7v7... which he used to throw two-straight interceptions, according to @LindseyThiry (ESPN).
"90 minutes into practice, Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy, they are splitting reps with the 1's and Kyler Murray got the nod to go first today. Might want that back, [with] back-to-back interceptions thrown during 7v7..."
