The staff report to the Board of Canvassers today confirms what we’ve known from the beginning: @JohnJamesMI followed the rules and will be on the ballot. John has earned overwhelming grassroots support and Michigan voters want proven leadership and real results. John continues traveling the state meeting voters where they are and fighting for a safer, stronger, more affordable Michigan.

My friend Tom Leonard and I got into this race for the same reason.

We are dads with three young kids and a deep faith in God.

We looked at what is happening to our state and said someone has to step up.

Schools failing. Small businesses crushed. Crime out of control. Common sense gone.

Michigan’s radical Democrats did that.

Tom knows our mission is the one to turn it around.

And he is not alone.

Rob O'Neill. Kid Rock. Ted Nugent. Parents. Faith leaders. Battleground Republicans. Small business owners.

Everyone is coming together because we love this state too much to hand it over to the radical left.

It is going to take all of us.

John James has been consistent: he’ll consider primary debates once the field is set. Until then, he’ll continue meeting directly with voters across Michigan.

We’ve seen how early, unstructured debates play out here. In 2024, a debate stage helped elevate a candidate who later left the GOP. In 2022, multiple debate participants didn’t even make it to the ballot due to massive fraud. Rushing to a stage before the field is real doesn’t help voters.
