@TheBadge13@APetrielli@_NickRichard If that’s the case, Pelley wouldn’t be in his presser after Tre was fired name-dropping Habs prospects and saying the Leafs will not rebuild.
He would leave all of that for the next GM.
He’s not a hockey guy, but he’s clearly involved in the direction of the team to a degree.
@TheBadge13@APetrielli@_NickRichard He must on a fundamental level realize that Knies is one of their most valuable young players though.
If you think the GM is fumbling the deadline and you’re gonna fire him…maybe just tell that GM to stick to selling rentals?
@Banksy56@MNState0fHockey@DanSaidThis_83@NHLRumourReport Yes, St.Paul… same metropolitan area though.
Regardless, not bashing the city and players will be more drawn there when the team is good.
I just don’t see why as a player I’d demand Minnesota over Montreal unless they simply can’t handle the pressure of the market.
@APetrielli@_NickRichard I hear ya.
It’s just wild to even allow the GM you plan on firing attempt to trade a guy like Knies on a whim at the deadline.
I guess credit for firing Treliving, but still…not a great look.
@mikecassin@WatchMyReview How can you say this was the best player available though when it was reported as a last minute deadline proposal from the Habs?
The Leafs could probably do better if they did a proper bidding war.
Teams would likely beat that package from Montreal.
As for the Canadiens being able to circle back...
I think there are teams that can beat a reported package of Zharovsky, D prospect (likely Engstrom or Pickford), and two 1sts.
That's if John Chayka even entertains serious trade talks.
june 1st is first day of men’s mental health month.
talking to someone about your mind isn’t the same as complaining or being a wuss.
many mental issues have a specific toolbox that is discovered with a diagnosis.
you might not need meds, but you do need to put in effort to help yourself.
the gym helps. sobriety helps. sleep helps. friends help. the sun helps. a clean diet helps. finding the right professional helps.
you are not alone. your problems have answers and things will get better.
you don’t have to believe me but just keep going and you can see for yourself.
@wyshynski Ahhh yes…things were so horrible for Mitch.
Publicly stated he was treated like a God in Toronto, never demanded a trade, refused to waive his no-trade when asked, was overpaid on his RFA deal, etc.
I’m not even a Marner hater, but come on. Enough. lol
@PierreVLeBrun@thegoldenmuzzy It’s not crazy.
The Leafs underachieved and lots of teams haven’t been to a conference final in a very long time (or ever).
Good run for Montreal, they also may never get back with this core.
@SparkleTindi@shaynagoldman_ Colorado lost in that trade.
Necas is not a playoff performer, Rantanen is a stud in the postseason.
Their AAV aren’t far off from each other either.
