Question for all the smart people on here -
This is day 182 of the year. 183 days remain of the year.
We are in the middle of a 365 day year.
So why is today not celebrated as midsummer? The longest day falls on 21 June, should we not shift the calendar to make it July 1st?

This was so moving. Spontaneously stopped off at the London Bridge station organ to play a couple of pieces for the Queen. This lovely security guard, Marcella, asked if I could play Lascia ch'io pianga. Turns out she trained as a singer! ❤️😭
