The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation has released Q4 data for FY21, showing less new condo and single-family home loans in Q4 FY21 compared to the previous two years. Additionally, and perhaps related, are the increases in average price for both types of loans, especially SFH.

The first ever University of Alaska Mariculture Conference is taking place from April 12-14, 2022. The event brings together members of the mariculture industry, policy makers, economic developers, and experts to discuss the future of Alaska's mariculture industry.

Between February 2020 and February 2021, low-wage jobs (<$15/hr) had over a 10% decrease in employment. Middle-wage jobs, which account for the majority of employment ($15-$45/hr) had about a 5% decrease, but high-wage jobs (>$45/hr) increased by 1%. #JEDCinsight

Q3 Housing indicators: New loans in Q3 2021 decreased from Q3 2020, which had been a period with an abnormally high number of new loans for both single-family homes and condos. Average sale price also decreased for both SFH and condos. #jedcinsight #housing
