Undertaking forensic imaging can be tough on radiographers mental health and well-being.
Take a look at my own personal reflection written for a special edition in @JMIRS1

Jess is a good example of a health practitioner developing her career as a clinical academic. A radiographer who did her MSc @kingsnmpc, worked on & published a study with @unafoye and myself, completed a @NIHRresearch pre-doc fellowship & now motoring on her @NIHRresearch PhD.
Great work by PhD student/radiographer Jess Eaton @JEMINHAS on this systematic review of caregiver experiences during their child's medical imaging examinations and potential preparatory interventions:

“Wisdom is the product of experience.
One becomes wise by confronting difficult and ambiguous situations, using one’s judgement to decide what to do, doing it, and getting feedback.
One becomes a wise practitioner by practising being wise.”
I am one month into my PhD and one of the first tasks my supervisor asked me to do was watch this Ted-Talk on Imposter Syndrome https://t.co/8rOQ2toubq 🧵
3/ I share the video link in hope that others with similar worries to mine see that even Einstein had these thoughts! My supervisor advised me to bookmark the video and to re visit during my career 💡
We have just wrapped on a fantastic two days with @NIHRresearch Strategy & Engagement board. Lots of useful discussions on how to get the most out of NIHR research and how we can collaborate with partners for the health and wealth of the nation.
Congratulations @UniofExeter on 20 years of Medical Imaging! I still seek support from my undergraduate tutor @MillsJ_A 11 years on (she gives fantastic PhD advice!)
Does your Radiology Department engage family members and carers in imaging exams when investigating unexplained injuries in children? 🩻

🚨Radiographers interested in a research career 🚨
Over 300 fully funded masters places available through @NIHRinvolvement for research training.
I also did my masters at @KingsCollegeLon and it changed my career in ways I never imagined.

Our @EOSimaging is being serviced today. This machine produces images of the spine and legs using low dose X-rays.
Easy to forget it raises that metal X-ray tube and detector (weighing over 100kg) into the air, on average 150 times a day!
Privileged to share the stage with two expert colleagues from across Europe this morning to discuss our work in radiological safeguarding investigations
Fantastic to see the GOSH MRI sedation service referenced by anaethetist Ignacio Malagon on his presentation discussing sedation use in medical imaging tests for children @GoshOps_Images@simcock_clare
