@dillon_mulroy@amorriscode Oh yeah, I mean, it was as simple as "uhh...maybe don't read the ENTIRE database." I think I've got it sorted. I feel like I am not your target audience so listening to me might be problematic.
I spent a while experimenting with Ambessa combos, and discovered ones that people haven't caught onto yet!
This combo begins the same as the R fast combo, but pivots into W to buy time for Q2. The full combo is:
R auto-S Q1 W auto-S Q2 Flash
The timing is very precise.
Right after my tweet, we received some sort of communication from @playvs@playvs_college@KyleDeFrancisco . In the end, all the communication was, "wait two weeks, we'll have an update by then!". This has been the same thing we've heard since LAST NOVEMBER.
3 days later after receiving this message, PlayVS/PCL has let go a majority of their staff team, including @/cwinger12, the only other person to have communicated with us regarding prizing.
There has been NO communication from anyone at the PlayVS/PCL side regarding this. I have been given nothing.
I would also like to mention that while this email from Curtis was sent, it was also sent as a Discord announcement which has now been deleted? Very odd.
At this point, I am unsure if @ScholAmerica / @playvs_college will ever pay us out, or even be running in the near future considering their layoffs.
If you are a team, staff, or player that is thinking about competing in PlayVS, I would proceed with the utmost caution.
Words can’t even begin to describe my feelings leading up to, during, and after the Queen City Championship. Self-sustained, grassroots competition over 3+ years led to this and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
What started as an impulsive decision seeing Apex announce that private lobbies were open to the public to now hosting a LAN event with 30(!!!) teams, all from different universities across North America will never not be insanity. I’m extremely proud of what @OctaneCollege has become, and the (re)introduction of collegiate apex to the scene compounded with the welcoming and overwhelming support. The concept of a league format, scholarships, actual recruitment with players affording college through the game, and even EA pitching in and supporting where they’re able was UNFATHOMABLE in 2022, but here we are 🥹
I want to thank @TngoMngoDwn and @EnseptionR6 for taking on a slightly delusional and optimistic kid and helping turn this passion project into reality, @g_dimona for facilitating all our graphics and helping secure and host our debut lan at UCincy, @hallowdprincess@happiiaka@ZephyrCasts for their continued support and coverage of collegiate as a whole. Thank you to @esports_foundry and @ScufGaming for the event support and finally to Joseph and Bolbi for the amazing support on the EA side, helping ensure collegiate has a spot in the @PlayApexEsports space ❤️
Thank you to all the players, teams, staff, and supporters that came out (special s/o to the @UHEsport boys). We had a continuous 100+ people in the venue, and overall ~215 peeps in unique foot traffic over the weekend. Your support for collegiate apex and Octane Collegiate means the world and here’s to (hopefully) more in the future 🙂
With the release of Season 29 OVERCLOCKED, I thought I give back to my community 🔥
