I had some kids with fake casios last year; we didn’t notice for a while until it started giving them incorrect answers using normal distribution! No idea how it was programmed, but quite a problem for a probability module!
Advise your A level and #coremaths students!
Who knows what the children have seen on the news or heard at home this week, or over the coming weeks.
When we get back to school we must show them the value of tolerance, inclusivity, empathy and respect.
Right from day one, in every classroom. Show them what really matters.
@missradders@AQAMaths Oh no… the rage is brewing! Won’t get to see the paper until tomorrow, but I suspect I will be in full ‘kicking-off’ mode tomorrow at this rate. So unfair, especially at it gives a significant advantage to level 2 further maths candidates.
@missradders@AQAMaths Oh I know, I fully agree with you, just wondering if they’ll argue that it didn’t go to fractions so didn’t increase the complexity of the question 🤷🏼♀️ as I say, haven’t seen the paper. I’ll be just as cross as you if they’ve assessed something they specifically said they wouldn’t
Stayed awake long enough to join a fantastic @Advanced_Maths#CoreMaths discussion this evening. Always so useful and come away with so many ideas, which I will hopefully put into action as soon as I have the brain power! Thank you @CoreMathsTom@CoreMathsCat and team 😊
@taylorda01 Yes! And when we look at linear regression, the general accepted format is y=a+bx. Yet when we teach nth term of linear sequences, it’s usually an+b.
Mental health should be at the heart of our education system. If healthier and happier, young people will have more opportunity to really thrive. It is on the Government to make this happen. https://t.co/ybynhQxU6D
@missradders@Ryanair Airlines are only usually bothered about hold luggage, you may be best to contact the airport directly. However, if you have meds in original packaging (with your details on) or a prescription/doctors letter, then they’re usually fine for you to take what you need in hand luggage
