“Chris Grier has been with the Dolphins since 2000”
“Yep”
“The Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game since 2000”
“Correct”
“And the 2025 Miami Dolphins are 1-5 this year”
“Affirmative”
“And Chris Grier still has a job”
“Yes sir”
Tua needs to get this shit fixed. Inexcusable for a franchise QB's offense to block like this. Poor Dolphins, they tried so hard to assemble a good OL and Tua made it bad ☹️
Tua Tagovailoa was the best player on the Miami Dolphins Sunday. That’s what rewatching the game told me.
Jack Jones was abysmal.
Jaylen Waddle and Darren Waller were splendid. No idea why McDaniel went away from them in the second half.
Jonah Savaiinaea and Cole Strange were awful. Reminiscent of Robert Jones and Liam Eichenberg from last year.
If Ashtyn Davis and Ifeatu Meloflnwu
play meaningful stats for your favorite team, you’re not going to win too many games.
Tua Tagovailoa had great chemistry with Darren Waller and Jaylen Waddle in the first half. That should have been the hammer that Miami hit Carolina with.
Instead McDaniel called a bunch of screens and cute plays, taking the passing attack out of its rhythm. Sure, Tua must hit that throw on the final drive to Waddle, he gets paid to make that textbook completion. He didn’t win us the game when he had the opportunity to.
But, McDaniel was horrid as play called in second half. Hurt the offense with trying to be too clever vs. taking advantage of what was working.
Punting the ball back to Carolina after watching what the Panthers did to the Miami defense all game long was incompetence at its highest point.
Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel must go, but let them finish the season, as they will guide us to the highest draft selection we have had since 2020.
*Kenneth Grant hasn’t been good at all. Silver lining, if football does t work out, he has a career in street hockey because he was on skates all day.
*Jonah Savaiinaea has been one of the worst players I’ve seen all season regardless of positions. He’s playing below Liam Eichenberg level.
*Jack Jones and Rasul Douglas were bad today. But to be fair, that’s what happens when you’re paying your starting cornerbacks around $5M COMBINED
*Chop Robinson seemed on pace for a terrific sophomore campaign but she’s been a no show this season. Bonehead penalty in crunch time extended a Carolina drive.
*Zach Sieler was rewarded with a nice extension, but he’s been really bad this season. Spent a lot of time on the ground today.
*If you’re reading this, you had the same amount of catches as Nick Westbrook-Ikhine today
*Aaron Brewer is a solid player but today his play was a travesty. I’d be hesitant to extend him. He was really bad today.
*With a 17-0 lead,
You’d like to play ball control and chew up the clock but the Dolphins cannot run the ball. It was a pathetic running game operation.
*We paid Alec Ingold handsomely and he has had a forgettable tenure.
Huge drop early. Doesn’t create running lanes.
This is the type of loss that summarizes the ineptitude of a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game in over 24 years.
It’s not fractured, it’s broken. Shattered into pieces.
We have been stuck on Marvin Gardens for five years, go back to Go, do not collect $200 and for the love of God, hire someone that can fix this mess. We all deserve better.
5 offensive drives ended due to mistakes by the offensive line today for the Miami Dolphins.
3 sacks.
1 bad snap that led to Tua not being able to set his feet and missing Waddle.
1 offensive holding on Cole Strange that negated a 1st down conversion and 19 yard gain by Waddle that instead pushed Miami into a 2nd and 23 hole they couldn't get out of.
The Dolphins offense had 10 total drives.
Brewer was also called for a hold on 3rd down in the 3rd quarter that was declined on an incompletion to Malik Washington.
Both offensively and defensively, the trenches were awful for the Miami Dolphins today when it mattered most. #PhinsUp
27-36, 256, 3 TD's, 122 passer rating. LOSE.
The Defense and the Guards (they short circuited the run game, and allowed guys in Tua's face all game.) Are incompetent.
People are talking about firing the wrong coach.
More Play-Action passes and less motions
Tua was the 4th best passer in terms of EPA/Play (.44)
Not to mention 48% of passes went for 1st downs which was 2nd best in Week 4!
