When John Shafer purchased our property in 1973, 30 acres were planted to 50 year old vines including Zinfandel. So in the late 1970s and early 1980s we produced a Zin. The final vintage was this one, 1983, made by Doug Shafer when he was our winemaker! #Napa #ThrowbackThursday
