@opodo please help. We're in France, the hire company will not honour the booking I made through @opodo because our flight was delayed. I have tried to contact Opodo in many ways but cannot speak to anyone. I am stuck with 2 small children.
@HariboUKI_ I get everyone is cutting back to save money, but 2 sweets in a pack is bit much! My son wasn't massively impressed when I gave it to him π had to find another pack.
2/2 This is not what I want for my children, nor yours.
Stop wasting tax payers money on court cases defending Boris Johnson's despicable behaviour (https://t.co/5YQmDzsM8n) and start funding schools properly. #TeacherStrike#NEU
1/2 As a taxpayer, I want my money being used to ensure every child has a qualified, high quality teacher in every classroom, every day. Currently all schools are relying on cover, supply, or collapsing classes to try to put someone in front of their students.
@mrwmhistory Not wishing to overcomplicate...! But could you select the size of fish to represent 'ease of catching' - some information about the past is more easily accessible than others? Or maybe a stretch task to allocate this, which would be the harder facts to fish for?
@HughJRichards@ww1teacher@WW1_Education In your section on Empire soldiers, it's interesting to include Caribbean soldiers as well, as the British approach to them was different to Indian soldiers.
@EYFSandMe Text from another Mum "when I was in nursery for Mummies day today your son said 'My Mummy never comes in' ". Thanks. I didn't need to hear that! Being a working Mum is so hard, especially in a job with no flexibility of hours. Sometimes feminism sucks π
@SmallSchool_KS2 I'm really surprised by these responses. I've taught in 7 different secondaries and only the one in central Belfast had a sign in/out electronic system. All the rest just assume you're there unless you call in sick or have requested cover I guess!
π§΅1/3 In just the last 24 hours I have had unmanageable amounts of work piled on me which are not for the benefit of students but to tick boxes for Ofsted and other 'visitors'. I have also had to deal with emails from parents refusing to support the schools behaviour policies,
π§΅2/3 ...arguing with teachers versions of events. We are pushed to breaking point every day. We lack staff. And the impact is on our students. So yes, I will vote to continue strike action to get a fair deal for teachers, so that I can continue teaching, because...
@SnelsonH Also if they're anything like mine, someone always ends up in the hospital so it often becomes a language immersion course too π Belgium this time: child dislocated knee by sitting down.
