@MusicOfLee Oh, I'm sure it was vastly different—those game cartriges and the 4k of RAM and no hard drive in the computer didn't offer much. What I didn't know in 1986 (because I was 7) was that the platform was already obsolete, but it was fun nevertheless.

@MusicOfLee @Komaniecki_R @composinghab21 That's a good way to explain it. Even if we're not talking about a graphic score, there's a level of subtle control and flexibility that lets you leave more of a personal mark in the visual element of the score.

@composinghab21 I haven't tried Dorico yet. From what I've seen it looks like it's optimized for a very limited notation palette and probably works nicely within that. But that's not going to cut it for so many people.
