#UAECorporateTax is here - well, almost. The legislation has now been published, later than expected. We'll be releasing bite-size briefings over the coming weeks and months and companies and businesses (not necessarily just corporates) get to grips with what it means for them.

The UAE Federal Tax Authority has today published the long-awaited Corporate Tax legislation. In headline terms, companies and businesses will be subject to a tax of 9% on profits above a threshold of 375,000 AED, for accounting periods starting on or after 1 June 2023.

Since 2017, UK #residentialproperty has been subject to #inheritancetax even if held indirectly (such as through a trust or company). It’s important to understand your tax exposure, especially if you do not live in the UK.

@mattwarman It doesn’t “quite obviously” mean that at all. Changing the slogan inherently implies a change in policy or objective, and therefore some sort of shift away from “stay at home”. The huge debate shows the lack of clarity in the new message.
