Your money and time is exactly that... YOURS.
I'm typing this as a streamer... do NOT let streamers guilt trip you into donating, subscribing, saying hi, or even lurking. To me, it would be JUST LIKE if Pedro Pascal started chastising his fans after a movie flop because he felt "betrayed" that there weren't as many people watching.
I know I talk about this a LOT! I just feel angry and sad for the viewers out there who spend their mental and financial resources on streamers who will not only underpreciate it but will be upset if they don't keep dropping. I know it's their choice to do it, but there's so much manipulation involved to the point that they will sacrifice their own quality of life to help the streamer.
SO, I have been made aware that streamers think I am targeting specific people with this post (although I have been saying stuff like this for years) 🫠🫠🫠
I post this stuff HOPING it will resonate with others and NOT to single out streamers but to let viewers know that they owe us nothing.
I wouldn't post this just to target one or two individuals hoping they will somehow see it... it is a general issue that I have seen since the first time I streamed over 5 years ago. In the beginning, I was in that mental rut too as a streamer, but I had a lot of amazing streamers that showed what I wanted to be as a streamer too, and I realized being entitled to people's mental and financial resources wasn't just unfair to them, it was ALSO making me bitter AF and failing to notice those who were there for me.
So over fake people bro. But at the same time, the level of delulu cracks me up bc tf you mean you help people? You only want them around if you get something out of it: subs, bills paid, having your new supply reach out to the old ones to send you money - fuck all the way off.
neurodivergent folks who experience sensory overload often recover through isolation. If you haven’t heard from your ND friend in awhile, there’s a good chance that they aren’t ignoring you, but actually pouring back into themselves
