@henryswainjourn I think the WB's are sitting too far up on both sides, this splits the back three too wide across the pitch and exposes the lack of pace. It then leaves the space for the easy cut backs as the central midfield isn't quick enough get back and cover that space.
@BobbyManzi@holmesdalehodgy@WingingItCPFC@CPFC_Tampa@ThePalaceWay@henryswainjourn I may be wrong but I don't think any of the English (home grown) players can be left out as we only have 8 in the squad so have to name them all to give us a 22 man squad so I would assume Franca, Gozo, Doucoure, Riad, Lerma, Guessand plus one more to miss out.
@neiog Why do people always class free transfers as a bad thing. It's sensible financial management. Bringing in two highly regarded players that improves squad depth for cheap should be celebrated. We are 1 CB & 1 CM away from being in a better position than we were last season
@henryswainjourn The only acceptable frustration is not having a Lacroix replacement in yet. With a new manager the other businesses was always going to be later in the window so Sage can have a good look at the fringe players through pre season and asses for himself who needs upgrading.
@LiamBCPFC I think it's a case of right player wrong time. Our current system just doesn't play to his strengths and he's not shown he can adapt to play how we need him to. It's a shame as I expect in a couple of years we'll be back to playing with tricky wingers where he could flourish
@HLTCO It feels like the players are thinking exactly the same. They're not playing like a team who think they're in danger of going down. No intensity and no leaders on the pitch to drag the team out of this passiveness. They're the dictionary definition of sleepwalking to relegation
@BobbyManzi I feel like we've watched that exact match about 100 times this season. Glasner's inability to deviate from his system despite seeing it never working in these scenarios is so frustrating.
@TCPalacePod From the video and not the blurry images it looks like the holding breaks before Cunha gets into the box and then the hand lands on his shoulder again making it look like he continued holding him, if Cunha doesn't dive he still gets the ball so it shouldn't be a DOGSO red
@FYPFanzine He's probably knackered after late night travel and a frustrating result but even taking that into account he has completely lost his spark, it feels like he has given up and doesn't know how to turn this around and is just waiting for his inevitable sacking.
@MarcWilliams22 If we hadn't been playing like this for 3 months I'd agree, but we look so poor. There is no indication that Glasner is looking to make positive changes to how we play despite zero intensity or creativity, and being predictable and easy to play against that I have no hope for us
@HLTCO The only issue I have is what is our strategy here? Guessand, Johnson, Pino, Sarr, McNeil seems overkill compared to us only having Munoz at RWB.
@RyanTCWallis Agree. We have 2 experienced CBs with Richards and Lacoix. Guehi is a big loss but as shown during Glasners first season Guehi is not what makes the system tick and we could risk Canvot, Riad, Lerma covering that final spot for now. No goals from Midfield is the much bigger issue
@Luke_Seychell This is the issue I have with Glasner there is no movement from his tactic of passively passing across the pitch hoping space appears, It stifles all creativity and has become so easy to defend against, we cannot create that way, we're too predictable and it needs to change
@Young_Fish01 Grow up. Football is a physical sport and crowding the keeper has been around forever. People are just annoyed Arsenal are currently effective with it. You take every advantage you can to score goals. There are far worse things ruining football than playing physical.
