Here he is. SSG Joshua Budd is an amputee from 1-38 Infantry.

He completed his 12-mile ruck in under 3 hours to earn the Expert Infantryman Badge EIB.

This is what pure motivation, resiliency, and determination looks like.

August 7, 1942 Guadalcanal

The first major Allied offensive against Japan in the Pacific began today. U.S. 1st Marine Division conducted the initial landed on Guadalcanal, but the Army would join in a few months later. The Americal Division and 25th Infantry Division would eventually send thousands of soldiers into the island's brutal jungle.

For nearly seven months, American forces fought through malaria, heat, mud, starvation, naval battles, air attacks, and relentless Japanese resistance.
The campaign became a turning point in the Pacific, as the Japanese advance had been stopped.
Now the Allies were going on the offensive.

Just doing some rough math, I’m looking at just over 4,000 burritos per year from my pension after I retire before having to give 22-24% of them to the federal government.

I don’t know what I’m going to do with roughly 300 burritos per month, but I guess my family and I won’t be hungry.
