We’re delighted to announce that @NHSGIRFT have kindly agreed to provide support to the @BSR led #JIALearn collaborative for 2023/24! This means we'll be able to recruit new teams to take part in the programme, enhancing the data collection & health outcomes for #JIA patients
📢Thanks to @NHSGIRFT@JIALearn will now include up to a further 6 sites working to improve the quality of care for children with JIA. We can't wait to meet the new teams in April and bring together the 12 centres in July and October/November!

It was fantastic to hear so many inspiring stories and ideas for the future. We are so proud of all of the #JIALearn teams and what they have achieved over the past two years @RheumatologyUK#JIA
Yesterday we held a virtual celebration event as the end of the collaborative approaches for Cohort 1. All of the #JIALearn teams talked about their journeys through the project, their achievements and what the collaborative has meant to them
What a journey @JIAlearn has been. Thank you for inviting me to the last Action Learning Set & hearing all the amazing QI work all 12 paeditric rheumatology teams have been doing & will continue to do. Proud to have been a small part of this fantastic project. 😊
It was wonderful to take part in the celebration action learning set event for @JIAlearn today.
It was a privilege to hear the teams reflect on their achievements and learning in improving juvenile idiopathic arthritis care.

Sharing our #BlueMonday post again this year... Kipo is here to remind us that however burdened we are feeling from living with #JIA, there is always blue sky above the clouds, whether we can see it or not. This is your reminder to do something that helps you see that blue sky.
We have achieved so much in our first full year, such as data collection for #JIA patients, recruiting 6 new teams, connecting with #JIA support organisations and putting QI projects into action across the country.
We look forward to 2024! Sending our best wishes to all 🎄
As we sign off for the festive period, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved with #JIALearn and those have supported the collaborative this year @RheumatologyUK@NHSGIRFT@RUBISQi

Wonderful feedback from the 12 #JIALearn teams who attended the learning event last month. It's brilliant to hear that the teams feel connected, engaged and motivated going back to care for their #JIA patients and families!
We also heard some evaluation feedback from @ResPeo, as well as an exciting opportunity to share the brilliant work from #JIA organisations who have supported the collaborative so brilliantly! #JIALearn#ThinkJIA#ChildrenGetArthritisToo
Yesterday was the #JIALearn steering group meeting. We were pleased to share feedback from the last learning event in Birmingham, an update on data collection, reflections from the clinical leads and thoughts on sustainability beyond the collaborative from @RheumatologyUK
Maria and Rowan had a wonderful time in Birmingham last week presenting interim findings from our evaluation of @JIAlearn.
@JIAlearn is a national juvenile idiopathic arthritis quality improvement programme funded by @RheumatologyUK and delivered by @RUBISQi.
What is juvenile arthritis? @BBCYoungReporter Evan has all you need to know. After a life-changing diagnosis on Christmas Eve he's back on the pitch and loving it🏆⚽Here's his story https://t.co/5B8TeoHUY8 #JuvenileArthritis#JIA#BBCYoungReporter#CCAA
What is #JIALearn?
The JIA learning collaborative was established in 2022 to upskill Paediatric Rheumatology teams in QI methodologies and reduce the gap between ‘ideal world’ research findings and ‘real world’ clinical care and outcomes.
@RheumatologyUK@NHSGIRFT Our aim is to improve patient reported experiences and outcomes of care for CYP with JIA by January 2024.
We began collecting a dataset in Jan 23 to measure this aim, and have also brought all 12 teams together face to face to discuss their findings.
