In other news, the Chinese Buddhist art and pottery exhibition at the @artsmia is fantastic. Introduced to the world of celadon pottery, the finest specimens mimicking polished jade. Now I have to find something similar to that glazed double koi dish displayed at the MIA.
“I need a Bluetooth speaker with a strong bass for my party—”
Even the idea of “recorded music” is insane. Now these songs will never die… Anyone can hear them, a hundred, a thousand years from now. Video, too. You all can see what life is like even ten thousand years from now.
The things that we complain about these days are so petty, even insane. “Ah, my laser lights aren’t the way I want them, I don’t like the way this song pans, I need more sound effects…” Things that I complain about, that nobody would have a hundred, a thousand years ago.
As a writer, I can’t outsource that to AI. I might as well get something ghostwritten. This is horrific.
Imagine if Tolstoy had just outsourced everyone in Anna Karenina to a machine. Horrific.
Someone just offered me an AI to write the characters for my story.
As a writer, I’m OK with generation of incidental details or starting points like names and occupations, but the actual *empathy* and *curiosity* needed to write believable relations and aspirations of people?—

Who is GenAi REALLY FOR? Cus it Ain’t you and it isn’t me.
Found an incredible book, 'Archiphantasy' (2020), on the futuristic architecture of Alexander Wong; this is the 'Cinema Futura' in Zhongshan, China from 2014. Seems like it carries on the spirit of Y2K design, but in an even more complex, biomorphic & advanced direction.
@MissFaves@Aeyga_X I wouldn’t trust these tools at all. I ran my comic illustrations through these and got ratings of +80%. Hilariously my rough draft scored a 92% likelihood of being AI.
The actual generative pieces I’ve made have scored *lower* than my hand-drawn pieces.
Midjourney developers caught discussing laundering, and creating a database of Artists (who have been dehumanized to styles) to train Midjourney off of. This has been submitted into evidence for the lawsuit. Prompt engineers, your “skills” are not yours
