plus je comprends peu à peu la superstition et la mentalité féodale/arriérée des personnes âgées.
Personne n’aime prier par nature ; c’est simplement qu’après trop d’impuissance et trop d’échecs,
il ne reste plus d’autre espoir que la prière.

I gradually come to understand the superstition and old-fashioned/feudal mindset of the elderly.
No one is born loving prayer; it’s just that after too much helplessness and too many failures,
the only hope left is prayer.
