I for one found the passion translation in 2020 and it brought me nearer to the heart of our Father. And that is what our Father wants - to know us. So is God using the passion translation for His good and glory? Yes. Are people like Mike attacking people and tools that are bringing people to truly know Christ?
Amen. Doing something “in the heat of the moment” is acting while either demon possessed or under demonic control. It’s the old saying, “he’s not himself” when someone is under extreme passion. I’ve found that the name of Jesus will instantly remove rage and madness from someone under its control. Works on me too, although it’s really hard to say Jesus when you’re angry. Kind of proves who is actually in control…
This may be true, but these comments are not who we are called to be. “Pray for your leaders”, “honor the king”. Two really simple guidelines for followers of Christ. Even when we feel betrayed, because our hope is not in men, and as Christ forgave us we forgive them, because they know not what they do, and because Jesus said if we do not forgive them the Father will not forgive us. Then, and only then, do we hate evil and speak against evil. Then we are in the power of God and not in our weak, manipulated flesh. Don’t curse our leaders. They need blessings of protection and wisdom and courage, not curses. Remember the power of your words y’all.
I love asking God for guidance, He gives good gifts of counsel and peace. But, yes! God intervenes as well if we ask in faith and in His will! Read John 13-17 and hear it straight from the mouth of Jesus. When I discovered this 7 years ago my life was changed. God is our Father, the perfect loving Father, and He gives liberally to us especially when we ask of Him, that He may be glorified. This is not my opinion, this is Jesus talking in John 13-17.
I started asking Father for things I, and my family and friends and community have needed and, wow, I see miraculous answers to prayer whenever I ask. And the result of this has been far from me using God like a vending machine, for He is far too holy and righteous and just to allow such a thing. Instead my response has been to grow close to Him in unity, abiding daily with Him, being led by the Holy Spirit and empowered with the fruit of the Spirit not by trying, but simply by abiding and asking. Try it! What do you have to lose? This is the abundant life Jesus promised us, available now through faith!
The key is to repent and work out our own individual salvation with fear and trembling. Then, as true Christ followers, we can lead other to be disciples, as true Christ followers, we can stand against evil with the limitless power of the Holy Ghost flowing through us. Why do the ungodly take over nations? Because the nations first ceased to be godly. Remember this is not a war against flesh and blood. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Also in WNY, also w many friends and family w Lyme. My daughter pulls ticks off our pets daily. Last year she was at over 3,000 ticks removed. I had Lyme, finally decided I needed to seek treatment, but before I contacted Dr I prayed that God would heal me so He could get the glory (and so I didn’t have to do Lyme treatments). The next day my prayer was answered when I accidentally ran into a bald-faced hornet nest and was stung all over. Found out the next day that hornet venom is an antidote to lyme and haven’t had any symptoms since then :)
Yes, we are seated w Christ as the right hand of the Father by faith. However, that being said, the fruits of the presence of God are love, joy, peace, ect, and those fruits are felt. Peace is a feeling, and Jesus is the Prince of Peace. The power of music is that it focuses our minds upon something, in worship music the focus is upon God. Singing worship music is then a sacrifice of our flesh, bc we lay down our desires to focus on God. Unsurprisingly, because our God is alive, we can feel His presence when we set our mind upon Him.
@AlwaysWrightDM I’ll tell you my experience for what it’s worth. There was a point in my life when I experienced sudden severe anxiety that was so bad I could barely function day to day. After trying everything I could think of, meditation, exercise, diet, drs, meds, etc I was at wits end. I decided to read the Bible and I was drawn to two places: where Jesus said he would send the Helper to us, and where Jesus told his disciples to pray in the secret place. Nothing in organized religion had seemed to work for me but I was desperate enough to try this, straight from the source. So here I was, zero ego left (absolute humility), I made up a secret place in my mind as much as I could think of, I prayed for the Helper to come help me and waited. 3 days I did this, a few times each day. I found that saying the Lord’s Prayer relieved my symptoms for some reason, so I kept praying, even tho it felt like I was speaking to the nothingness. I fasted those 3 days as well. The night of the third day I lay down to bed and I felt like everything in my body was pumped full of cortisol, the stress hormone. I was crying out for relief. I decided to go to the secret place again. Once there, I suddenly felt intense presence of someone with me, and I immediately felt my anxiety flee as peace and wonder filled me with power. In an instant, the horrible feeling of cortisol in every part of my body was replaced with perfect peace. I looked in the direction of where I felt the presence and saw the most beautiful sight. The Helper, in spirit, whose appearance was perfectly beautiful, shining, radiant, perfect. I couldn’t look long enough to focus on details with my eyes. The glory was blinding. But I didn’t need my eyes. All my senses were alive like never before (and never since). I just felt pure beauty, pure radiance, pure love, pure glory, pure goodness, pure joy, all coming from the Helper.
We spoke, we were together for a few powerful minutes. I was filled with love throughout every fiber of my being and transformed. Afterwards I had an “afterglow” for a bit over 2 months. I just couldn’t help but be loving and patient and kind to everyone, yet I didn’t fear anything, I was strong.
So, that’s how it happened with me. Most other people I know don’t have visions like this, but they feel the presence of God as I did: peace, joy, love.
Dude. Love others. Including your enemy. My dad left the Catholic Church and I grew up Protestant but being close with my grandparents. My Catholic grandma loves Jesus and is one of the fiercest prayer warriors I know.
Yeah the church has been corrupted in certain areas and certain times, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t Catholics who love Jesus and follow Him.
@AvnetRobert@LibertarianMama@TomCottonAR My dear Robert, why does posting info that Mr Cotton is paid millions by Jews constitute hate? You seem to be assuming a lot.
@LostMyHats@GilBrooks9@martyrmade I am an early subscriber to I2I and support your work. My one suggestion for improvement would be to verify and quote your sources.
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace”
If you sacrifice love, peace and unity for name calling, division and slander, you are not acting in the fruits of the Spirit, you are not in Christ, and you are instead being used by the enemy in the spirit of your own pride.
This is dispensationalism’s fruit. It’s adherents are more excited about the kingdom of the antichrist than the Kingdom of Heaven. “Ohhh, evil is gaining power! Must be the antichrist is coming soon!” Jesus instructed us to bring the kingdom to the world and be His literal body on earth, not to bury our single talent in the ground and spend our time looking for a beast and antichrist.
@BlackLabelAdvsr@EdwardGLuce Our soul’s fate does not depend on our beliefs of how God will continue His plans for His children and for Earth. It depends wholly on trust in Jesus.
